Claire's pov
"Why are we going out all day Mitch? I wanna stay home all day and sleep." I said as he came in and woke me up. It was already 1:00, why couldn't I have just slept a little longer like until two. He had to wake me up didn't he. Ugh I guess I should go with him though. It will give us time to talk to each other and get to know each other better because we have been so distant for a year. I got up out of bed and said, "Fine I'll go with you out today, but we need to go to the mall because i need to try to find the same pair of Beats Headphones again. They won't be the same and even though my favorite soul and heart filled pair are gone, I'm going to need another pair anyway".
Mitch's pov
Yes, she agreed to come. I got up and shuffled her out to the car after she was dressed. "Well we need to go out all day so we can go to dinner later. I want to take you to Dave And Busters out in town, if we go around 7:30 they have a deal that will save us 10 dollars on tokens. I figure I owe it to you to relax all day, get to talk, and take you out to dinner. That can be how I can start to make up for all the times that I've been gone".
(Time skip to when Claire and Mitch are on their way home)
Claire's pov
"Wow Mitch, today was amazing. Thank you so much. It took my mind of of Colby, Will, and Dawson. And thanks for staying with me instead of going to Australia. By the way did you call Lachlan and tell him yet?" I said while driving. He had a worried look on his face when I asked that question. Oh no!
Jerome's pov (yay someone new)
"Oh guys, and Sonja, Mitch texted. He says they are almost here and that we can go in the basement and hide. He said that she thought he haddent called Lachlan to tell him he couldn't make it, so it gave him the perfect excuse to texts to tell us to hide because they will be here in 5 minutes. Luckily all of us took taxes here so we don't have to try to hide a car or anything. Mitch also says that when her headphones were broken he couldn't find the same pair in the mall today, so while they were out he ordered the same pair she had and asked us if we could put it in the basement when we went Dow and that would be his excuse to bring her down here. Now guys let's grab that package, and go they would be here any second now. Go. Go. Go."
Mitch's pov
Jerome is all set with the others in the basement just in time because we just got home. Luckily they all tok cabs to get here so there wasn't a car in the driveway to give away the big surprise. "Come on Claire. We should go inside and get ready to go to bed." She looked at me confused. I then said, "I'm just kidding lets go down to the basement and watch a movie. I also have a surprise for you down there. Common lezzgo".
Claire's pov
Mitch was acting kinda weird, but he's always weird, so I didn't worry about it. We went inside and down to the basement. There was a package there. But how no one was home to put it there. I looked at him confused and said, "What is this and how did it get here Mitch?" Then, all of a sudden, the best thing that could ever happen to me did. I saw Jerome, Adam, Sonja, Preston, and Jason pop up from behind the couch where we were going to watch a movie and yell, "Surprise" all at the same time.
