A wave of strange feelings rushed through Jieun. Her breathing had turned rapid, uncontrollable, and she had to brace herself on the back of the large, white couch. Her chest felt like it was being torn in two, her heart pounded so hard, she felt like it was vibrating the force of it.
As for Jungkook, he wasn't looking any better than her. Shock. He felt in his gut; in that place on him that seemed loud and ominously slow as though time itself had stopped. He felt it in the back of his throat — tight and dry, almost painful.
"What's wrong?" Solar moved her attention from Jungkook to Jieun several times, not understanding the strange reaction.
"They know each other," Hyuna whispered. Surprised, the blonde opened her mouth to ask how, but she continued, "I saw them dancing together at this nightclub... that's why I thought it'd be easy to convince her to work here."
