Dark Love: The 30th Of April

Somewhere in the dark woods, in a warehouse a man is sitting on a wooden chair, his hands tied to the chair. Blood is dripping from his forehead, bruises all over his face and a dip cut on his right cheek. It looks like somebody has tortured him for several days and that too mercilessly. The man is not able to open his eyes, maybe because he was kept in dark almost for a month and now he is used to the darkness surrounding him. His life is darker than this darkness around him . Suddenly the door of the room opens allowing some light to come in . A masked man enters in and walks towards the man who was tied to the chair.

Man who is held captive- M , Masked Man-MM

MM: So, how are you doing?

M: Leave me you Ba*t**d. Let me just go, damn it.

MM: Not so easily man.... not so easily.... you have to pay for your every sin, for everything that you have snatched.

M(frustrated): Which sin? What are you even talking about .I don't know what sin you are talking about. Every time you come and repeat the same thing and don't even show your face. At least show me your face , damn it.

MM(calmly): Have some patience man....some patience. I will reveal my face to you and even the reason of my hatred towards you, when the right time comes. Just wait for the right time.

M(angry): Arrrgh .... Right time , right time. What the hell !! There is no right time... the truth is you are afraid of me and don't have the guts to show me your face. You are a coward.

MM(angry, clenching his fists): Come again....What did you say? that I am a coward and don't have the guts to show you my face. Wait...

(picking up an iron rod which was lying on the floor the masked man hit the man on his already injured head with the rod , making him unconscious ).

In VR Mansion

(Dadi, Ishani, Sia, Chanchal ,Riddhima were sitting in the hall , discussing about the upcoming puja of the Kul Devi).

Dadi: Chanchal, just check whether all the materials that are necessary for the puja on 30th April are there or not otherwise I will send somebody to bring it .

Chanchal: Haan Maa, I will check.

Sia: Dadi, as far as I remember its been a long time that we didn't do this puja. Why all of a sudden this year ?

Dadi :That's because earlier this puja was done for our kul deepak , Vansh .But 3 years back , on that very day that unfortunate incident happened (dadi said absent mindedly). This year Riddhima is here with us as Vansh's wife. So , I have decided that this year we will perform this puja.

Ishani & Sia (in unison) : Which incident Dadi? Where were we at that time?

Dadi: Nothing....you both were studying in abroad ...Leave it. Riddhima Beta, you have to sit with Vansh in this puja. Ok.

Riddhima: Ji Dadi.

Vansh 's study

Vansh is sitting in his study having his favorite black coffee and reading some files while Angre is working on his laptop. Riddhima enters with a tray in her hand with another cup of black coffee.

R: Here is your 2nd cup of black coffee.

V: keep it there(pointing his finger towards the glass table) .

R: (thinking in her mind: this man only cares for his business , work and his black coffee, no time for wife) Don't you think Mr. Rai Singhania that you are forgetting something?

V(confused): What?( after thinking for sometime) Oh!! thank you sweetheart for this coffee.

R(angry): No not that 😠😠

V: Then?

R: Mr. VRS I think You have started forgetting things ....You have promised me to spend an evening with me but you are busy with your other wife it seems.

V(confused): Other wife? Who's that? I have only one wife Sweetheart and that's you.

R: Oh you remember that ? I am so blessed... I am talking about your first wife , that's your work.

V(closing his eyes on realizing): I am really sorry sweetheart I forgot about it. Some other day darling. I have huge work pressure .Please understand sweetheart.

R (imitating) : I have huge work pressure .Please understand sweetheart. I knew it.

Angre( smiling sheepishly on hearing the cute banter of the husband wife).

R(Before leaving the room): I forgot to tell you that Dadi has told that on this 30th April we are going to have some Kul Devi Puja at VR Mansion. She wants us to sit for this puja. Please keep yourself free for that day .If not for me then at least for Dadi.

V: OK baba ....I will not only for Dadi but also for you.

(Riddhima left with a smile on her face)

V: Sometimes your Bhabhi becomes an Angry Bird.

(Angre not responding)

V(Looking at Angre , who seemed little bit absent minded) : What happened Angre?

A: Nothing Boss.

V: No there must be something. What's the matter? Tell me.

A: Boss you know what's on 30th April ?

V: Yes how can I forget that unfortunate day. The day which snatched so many things from us.
