I was not in a very good mood today, Severest and his new friends had tormented me for the last two days. It also didn't help that James was head boy and I had to deal with him. He wasn't that bad but he wasn't great, passable. Maybe. Now I had been called to Dumbledore's office and I had no idea why. I hoped I wasn't in trouble. If I was, I knew it was Potter's fault.

"orange zotz," I said. They were a muggle sweet, Dumbledore seemed to have a strange obsession with them. Not that I blamed him, wizard candy is great and all but some of it, acid pops, blood lolys, and Bertie Bott's Every Flavour Beans were absolutely terrible.

"Good morning Miss Evan's" Dumbledore smiled calmly in my direction as I entered the room.

"Morning," I responded trying to sound cheerful.

"I assume that you don't know why I brought you here," he continued.

"No, I don't," I responded.

"I need you to do me a favor, Miss Evans," the headmaster advertised. Dumbledore needed me to help him with something. "As the head girl you were my first choice in this endeavor," the old man mumbled. What on earth was he talking about?

He reached under his desk and showed me a small bassinet with a baby in it. A baby. The boy had a large messy amount of black hair and just underneath it a thin lightning shaped scar. The baby couldn't have been more than a year old, he was just too small.

"Who's baby is that?" was all I could manage to say in that moment. I was still trying to get over the fact that Dumbledore just pulled a baby from under his desk.

"Miss Evans I originally thought that this baby had been one of the student's. But the young child was much too old to be hidden from the staff for that long. He is around 14 or 15 months, that's what madam pomfrey said at least," Dumbledore informed me.

"Then who's is he?" I asked, still perplexed at the baby wrapped in a large blanket in Dumbledore's arms.

"That I can't tell you, but I assure you it is being settled Miss Evans, what I need you to do is look after the young boy," the old man chattered. The words filled my head but I didn't know what to say in response. "If you're having any worries about the endeavor if you accept you will be given extra credit on your report card, as well as be receiving your own room. Please Miss Evans this is of the utmost importance to me, will you do it?" my headmaster said, his eyes were glistening through his half moon classes, I knew in an instant that there was no way I could say no.

I was cradling the still sleeping baby that I had learned was named Harry. It was such a lovely name Harry. I'd always loved that name. I had asked Dumbledore why he had been sleeping so long and in his words:

"The chaotic nature of moving and the new environment would not be good for young Harry, so I asked madame to give him a sleeping drought. Don't worry it will only last two more hours," in reality I just thought it was because Dumbledore didn't know how to deal with a baby.

The scene of the teachers moving all my things to a separate room caused many Gryffindors to follow the commotion. The teachers ended up chasing off any students that tried to get anywhere near the action. It had been about an hour since I had moved to my new room and Harry was starting to wake up.

"Mamma," Harry cried. My heart melted for Harry, he was so young and if Dumbledore was asking me to watch him it means that his parents were probably missing. He who must not be named was growing in power everyday and if someone was missing it was most likely they were dead.
