The Supernatural School and Unexpected Friends

A New City

Kira's P.O.V.

Things started out like any other day; only it wasn't. My friends James, Miruna, and I were all being moved to a new town. We would start going to a new school as well. This did not sit well with me. Things haven't been the same since my parents were murdered twelve years ago. I run a hand through my light brown hair looking at Miruna. "Can you believe the council is sending us to a new city? It seems like we are always moving from place to place," I remarked at Miruna.

"Kira you always think like that. Who knows maybe this will be a better start towards our futures," Miruna tried to reason with me.

I just roll my eyes in response picking up my bag throwing it in the trunk of the car. "Come on Kira a new city means new humans to pull pranks on," James interjected into the conversation.

I let out a sigh of annoyance looking at James. "Well James maybe your pranks are half the reason we are being moved," I shot back.

"Kira..." Miruna sighed shaking her head.

"Let's just go," I replied getting in the car.

James and Miruna get in the car after me. The car then takes off on a drive that seemed to go on for ages. I look out the window watching the car pull up to a school that looked like an academy. The car pulls in front of the gate that was at the entrance of the school grounds. "An academy? So this is like some boarding school? This is not what I agreed too," I growled clenching my fist.

Miruna was trying to stay reasonable, but I noticed that she couldn't hide the annoyance in her facial expression. "Oh this will be even more fun. I hope there are some nerdy humans. They are the easiest prey for pranks," James chuckled with a wide smile.

The three of us get out of the car. We see a woman who looked to be in her late thirties approach us. Something felt a little off with her. "Hello and welcome to Night Academy. My name is Maria Striker, and I am the headmaster at this lovely school," she greeted us with a smile.

"My name is Miruna Fournier. These are my friends Kira Star and James," Miruna greeted the headmaster.

"We have been expecting you. You can follow me and I can show you to your dorm. From there you may explore the campus. I will have your things sent to your dorm room," Maria informed us.

We nod in reply and follow her through the gate entering the school grounds. I looked around to get an idea of what the school was like. I noticed that no humans were present. I watch as all the students turned to look at us. Most of the girls had a look like they wanted to kill. However, the boys had a mixture of the two. I couldn't hold back the smirk that appeared on my face. "Maybe this place won't be so bad," I muttered to myself.

I notice Miruna shake her head in response. We followed the headmaster for what seemed like a good ten minutes. The school was huge and seemed to cover a lot of ground. There were many dorms spread out amongst the grounds. "Alright welcome to the Red Moon Dorm. This will be where you two will be staying," Maria informed us looking at Miruna and I.

We were a little confused by what she said. Did she mean the three of us weren't going to be in the same dorm. "Sorry for the confusion. You see the Red Moon Dorm is for vampires only. James if you will follow me I will take you to your dorm," she explained to us.

"Excuse me Ms. Striker with all due respect don't you think you can make an exception here," I tried to reason with her.

"There are no exceptions. He will be staying in the shapeshifter dorm. Now please follow me," she told us.

She walked away with James before I could say anything else. "Kira, just drop it. Come on let's go inside," Miruna tried to reason with me.

I let out a sigh of defeat and follow Miruna inside. "Mira in all these years of the three of us being friends when have we ever been split apart like this?" I questioned Miruna.
