~~~~Hermiones P.O.V.~~~~~~~~
I can feel my eyes widen as they land on Lily. I run and hug her. Lily was Clary's best friend, she would talk to her so much that we became friends. As the years went on friend doesn't even describe how I feel about her. I run into Lily's arms almost knocking her down from the sudden impact. She laughs after regaining her balance. Gwyneth stands there awkwardly not knowing what's going on. "Gwyneth, this is our friend Lily. We haven't seen her in five years." I retrieve my death stars. "Oh. Do you wanna come in? I'll make lunch." Gwyneth offers. We go inside and a very excited black German Shepherd, which I decided to call Shadow greets us. He freaks out at the sight of a new person. We sit in the living room and talk after offering help to Gwyneth and setting the table. When its done we all scarf down the food exhausted by the few hours out side in the chilling winter weather. "So, Lily why are you all the way out here?" She looks upset. Oh no! "Well, my parents kept getting into really big fights over nothing. They got divorced a few weeks ago. When they went to a judge to make it final and get custody over stuff, they split everything up, but me. They fought and fought. Verbally and physically. It really hurt. I figured I was the reason they broke up. Now, divorced they were hurting each other even more. Just for a few months with me. I couldn't think. I was depressed and had anxiety. I ran. I ended up here." She begins choking on her words. I hug her tightly. She sniffles a few times, but never cries.
