It has been only seven years since the sun descended on the earth and set fire to most of the planet Earth. Since then, the people have more or less managed to establish peace, and prepare in case of war. Only four cities have survived on Earth. Four cities. Do you know how lucky these people actually were? That's what everyone would think. But as far as I'm concerned - I could die freely, I probably wouldn't lose anything. Family, almost all friends and all acquaintances are already dead or infected with the so-called virus. Forgive me for sarcasm when it comes to such serious topics, but I really still don't understand how all this happened so quickly.
Everyone had been waiting for that day for a long time, they knew that the end of the world would come one day - and it came, but unexpectedly.

The children were in school, the adults went to work, everything was normal. I was 11 years old. It was too hot that day, some were sent home because of the sun. In general, we were not allowed to go outside - let alone play. The first child to pass out was Winston. Almost not a second passed, and Zart followed him. At first I was trying to figure out what was going on. First, I saw an English teacher who doesn't help children at all, she was digging something in her bag. Soon the whole school was already screaming and panicking, it seemed that we were not the only class to whom it happened. The kids were hysterical and crying, but I don't know why I didn't. I just sat quietly on a chair, together with Erica and Bella - they probably didn't understand why everyone makes so much drama. Erica just said: "We're going to die, aren't we?", While Bella and I didn't answer at all. Until then, we didn't know each other very well.I only remember the rest in part, sometimes the memory comes to me - but I soon forget it. So it has been for the last seven years. I remember that the remaining healthy students were pulled out of school by people in black, and I remember how they left the other children in school in cold blood, while they were writhing in pain. They didn't even try to contact our parents - they didn't even contact us. They took us in black jeeps and at first I thought they were trying to kidnap us, and a couple of children resisted and tried to escape, mostly the older ones. Some succeeded, escaped and people in suits did not try to stop them. I realized that those children eventually died.
The black jeeps housed seven children each, so it was quite cramped. I literally didn't even try to resist - I was weak and petty, I didn't stand a chance. I was worried about my parents and I knew they were for me too. That was the last time I saw them. Now I don't know where they are, whether they are well or dead... But I guess the latter is true.
People in suits drove us to a place a few hours away from the city. The city was surrounded by walls at least three hundred meters high. There was also a passage - I later realized that it was called the Gate, which is strange because it doesn't look like a gate at all. It's huge and concrete, and the gates are metal, you know... Anyway...
Remember I mentioned Erica and Bella? The three of us became friends. In fact, not just friends. The three of us are almost inseparable.
3/18/2018 we took an oath.
"We started this together, maybe we'll end it that way too" and we've been using that quote for 3 years.
