"Bye mom see you after school" Erin said slamming the car door shut. She looked up at the giant building she was about to enter. It was 3 times the size of her last school.
Slowly she started up the steps to her new school. She was just hoping that high school will be a better experience than junior high.
"Hey Erin!" She looked up the steps where a short and skinny brunette waved frantically, Erin smiled and walked up the steps to meet her best friend.
"Hey Rose" Erin hugged her quickly and stepped away. When she pulled away she had a sad look on her face. "How are you? Are you feeling better?"
Erin nodded "Yup I'm starting new today no more tears from now on." She smiled big to show her happiness. Rose laughed and they both walked up the steps to their new school.
Erin walked in to her homeroom, a bunch of people were already sitting and talking to each other. She scanned the room looking for someone she recognized. But to her disappointment she didn't recognize anyone. Erin sat down in a seat in a desk against the wall.
Soon the bell rang and one more boy ran in yelling "I'm here. I'm here." The teacher turn and gave him a weird look.
"Yes thank you for alerting us, take a seat so i can take attendance" The boy smiled and sat down beside Erin. He looked over at her and winks. Erin looked away blushing.
"Gilbert?" the teacher called looking around the call. The boy frown and cleared his throat. "It's just Gil." he sounded very annoyed.
"Erin?"the teacher called ignoring Gil's remark. "Here" Erin raised her hand slowly not wanting to bring too much attention to herself.
Gil made eye contact with her and mouthed "cute name" once again making Erin blush.
The bell rang signaling for them to go to their next class. Everyone got up and exited the classroom. Erin started for her first class but was stopped short by a body standing in front of her. She looked up at wavy dirty blonde and ocean blue eyes.
"Hey Gil, whats up?" Erin smiled at him. He shyly smiled back showing off his dipples. "Hey Erin..I was wondering if I could get your number?"He looked nervous "In case I needed help with math or something"he quickly finished trying to hide his fear.
Erin smiled widely, nodding. She took out her phone and handed it to Gil to add his number. She told him she would text him later and walked off to her first class.
Maybe Erin was scared for no reason, maybe high school with be fun.
