WARNING: cursing and a small mention of blood
****
The Agreste Mansion was home to Gabriel Agreste and his children, though they would argue against using the word 'home' to describe anything about that place.
Inside the grand mansion, Adrien Agreste sat on the couch in his unnecessarily large room looking out the window. He watched as rain drenched the city of Paris in mild colds and misery, yet he didn't let it affect his mood. He was excited, today was going to be his first day at school!
He was also nervous, of course. His father had repeatedly told him he couldn't go, meaning he was going to be sneaking out.
Adrien continued to think about going to school and was so focused on his thoughts that he didn't notice as the door to his room opened.
Noticing the absence of a reaction from Adrien, the intruder decided to use this to her advantage. She quietly walked towards the couch, and as she came up right behind him she slowly raised her hands.
"BOO!" she exclaimed, while roughly grabbing onto his shoulders.
Adrien jumped out of her grip and fell off of the couch, screeching loudly.
Snickering at his reaction, his twin walked around the couch. Adrien rolled his eyes but smiled at her, "Learn to knock Charlie, I just had a heart attack."
Charlotte grinned and bent down to ruffle his hair, "You should probably avoid that if you want to go to school."
"Wow, thanks Captain Obvious," Adrien replied sarcastically, playfully slapping her hand away. He stood up to get his school bag from its hiding place and slung it over his shoulder as Charlotte explained how they would get out of the house without being seen.
"You want me to do what?!"

Surprisingly, sprinting through a park at full speed without taking any breaks, can wear people out. Even with the adrenaline coursing through their bodies, both Charlotte and Adrien were shivering and breathing heavily in the pouring rain. Their hair was sticking to their foreheads as their hoods had failed to remain in place, and they sounded like they had been smoking for 50 years.
Anyone who happened to be at the park that morning would tell you it was absolutely hilarious.
As they cut across the park and made it to a stoplight, Adrien looked back and caught a glimpse of what he assumed was his bodyguard. He completely freaked, latching his hand onto his sister's arm and attempting to drag her across the road. Charlotte yelped at the sudden movement and stumbled, failing to regain her balance as gravity began pulling her down.
She faceplanted, hitting her nose roughly against the wet asphalt.
Adrien felt his sister's arm get jerked out of his grip and he turned around to see her laying on the road groaning in pain. He reached down and started tugging on her arm again before Charlotte pulled her arm away and reached up to her throbbing nose. Feeling something warm drip down her fingers, she put them where she could see them, and they were covered in her blood.
"Charlotte get up, I think I saw our bodyguard!" Adrien said.
She glared at her brother before snapping, "Yeah I'm fine, thanks for asking. Not in any excruciating pain or anything."
"It's a nosebleed, you're literally fine." He put his hand out, "Get up!" Charlotte huffed, accepting Adrien's outstretched hand and letting him pull her to her feet. He ran across the remaining half of the crosswalk and let go of her arm while they both caught their breath.
