Runaway Girls

Chapter 2

When the girls got to their secret base, an old, abandoned house on the middle of the woods, they brought in all their new found riches. Although the house was abandoned, it was still in great shape. All the girls really did was buy food, and their friend payed for the electric and water bills.

"Alright let's go" Callie sighed, opening the front door. The girls all threw their bags on the kitchen table and hung out. Callie and Lexi sat in the living room, watching tv, Blair was counting the money, Keira was taking a nap, and Hunter was listening to music.
"Earlier this morning, a group of robbers robbed the California Bank" the reporter on the tv said. "They wiped the whole bank clean of all the money" he explained. Pictures of each of their faces appeared on the screen. "These five girls, better known as The Arrows, robbed the bank early this morning. Their names are unknown, so we advise the public to be on the look out" the reporter informed. "This is not the first stunt these girls have pulled. They are highly dangerous" the reporter trailed off. "Hell yeah we are" Hunter smiled, falling onto the couch, next to Callie. The screen panned to police cars filling the city. "We have an important message from the governor" a female's voice said over the speaker. It cut to a clip of the governor, standing on a podium, in front of thousands of people and reporters. "Until these criminals can be found and contained, we are putting the whole state of California on lock down" the governor said. "Shit" Lexi muttered. "Guys! Get in here!" Hunter yelled. A second later, Blair came into the living room, Keira stumbling behind her, still groggy from her nap. "They got the whole state on kick down" Lexi explained. "Then what do you suggest we do?" Keira asked.

"We need to get out of here" Blair said, as they all huddled around the kitchen table. "Yeah, that's a great idea, let the government find us" Hunter said, sarcastically. "There are other ways" Lexi interjected. "Slow down, slow down, slow down!" Callie yelled. "First, we need to figure out where we're escaping to" Callie explained. "I got it! Maine!" Keira said, perking up. "It's small, they won't find us" she said, shrugging it off. "No, we need something more than the state" Blair said. "We need to get out of the country" Hunter interrupted. "Somewhere they can't track us" she added. Callie stood up, and walked into the office room. Everyone followed her quickly. Callie sat down at the computer and typed something into Google. "Jamaica, they won't be able to follow us there" she explained. "Jamaica it is" Keira sighed. "Yeah, but how are we going to get out of the country?" Blair snapped. "I got it" Hunter interrupted. "Archer" she said simply. All their eyes lit up in a knowing way. "Hunter, you're brilliant!" Blair exclaimed. Hunter tossed hair behind her back, in a proud fashion. "I'll go to 'The Rabbit Whole' tonight. He had a private jet and he has connections. We'll get out easy" she explained. "And while you're at it, ask him if he can cover for us" Blair added. Hunter nodded. "Alright then, looks like I'm going to the club".
