Murders Unknown

• ✭ Chapter 1 ✭ •

Mike and Harper were 17 years old and lived in Yellowstone National Park where they had a simple life. They went to school together but little did they know they liked each other. Some time after,they started dating, and they loved one another very much. However, Harper didn't know Mike all that well, and Mike was OK with that because Mike had a dark past. So dark that it would scare Harper away, so he did his best to keep her from finding out too much. I am guessing you want to know about Mike's past and I will tell you,but where to start.

Well Mike had a deep past with dark thoughts, dark thoughts that he couldn't  control. Mike's first girlfriend did not go so well. Her name was Kate. At the time Mike was 16 and Kate was 15. Kate took Mike on a surprise date and went for a picnic in the " Zone Of Death" which is real , but Kate didn't know it was the Zone Of Death.  Mike on the other hand did. No one ever lived in the Zone Of Death, so it was the perfect,quiet spot for a picnic or the perfect, quiet spot for murder.

When they got to the Zone Of Death they set up the picnic, and they sat on a log.  Mike had an evil grin. Mike was cutting up the apples with a knife and he imagined Kates blood all over  the knife. He stared into Kate's eyes and he went crazy! He started to chase Kate with the knife and when he caught up to Kate it got really bad. Mike could not control himself. When he called the cops he told them what happened. He went to court but since he was in the Zone Of Death he was not convicted because no one saw him commit the perfect murder.

Harper did not know about what happened to Kate, or that Mike did what he had done.  Mike and Harper's first date was at a diner. As soon as they got their food, Mike picked up his knife to cut his steak and had a flashback of Kate's blood on the knife that he killed her with.  When Harper Saw the fear and torture on Mike's face she asked, "What is wrong?"

"Nothing i'm fine.'' Mike said. And everything went back to normal.  For their second date, Harper was excited to choose where they would go. She wanted to take a walk, but it was right into the Zone Of Death.

When Mike saw it for the first time in a year, he had another horrible flashback about what he did to Kate. He stopped walking for a moment, Harper felt a bit worried about Mike. Harper asked "What's wrong Mike?" " um...nothing." Mike replied. But while he remembered what he did to Kate, he did his best not to let the same thing happen to Harper. As they walked Harper's feet got tired, so they went to find a spot to sit. Harper found a log to sit on. The same log Mike and Kate sat on. Mike couldn't take it anymore, so he found a stick nearby and he imagined Harper's blood on it. Mike loved Harper so with as much power as it took, Mike built up the strength to say, "r-r-RUN a-a-and..don't s-s-stop!" Harper looked at Mike and said "Wh-what?'' "GO!" Mike cried.

Harper stood up in a hurry and ran for her life.  Mike held it off for as long as he could because he knew that every second counted.  Mike couldn't take it anymore! He stood up and started chasing Harper. Harper was running as fast as she could.  She kept looking back to see if Mike was there,and everytime she looked back he was always - one - step - closer than before. Harper shouted, "WHAT IS HAPPENING!!" but Mike doesn't reply. Mike was catching up to Harper. Harper pushed through the pain and found a big tree to hide behind. As Mike lost sight of her, he called out,

"Harper-where-are-you?''Mike said in a creepy whisper. Harper heard footsteps, so she covered her mouth in hopes that Mike wouldn't hear her loud breathing. Mike heard a twig snap in the other direction. He turned around and called out, "Harper, I can hear you!" Harper took her hand off her mouth, but she was still breathing loudly. Mike heard her and turned back around. "I can hear you breathing Harper. You can't hide forever." As Mike was getting closer and closer, Harper looked over her left shoulder just to see that Mike was not there.  Harper looked back in front of her , and little did she know Mike was standing right in front of her. Harper started  crying hysterically. "Please stop! What did I do to you? WHY ARE YOU DOING THIS TO ME!" Harper cried out. Mike raised the stick above his head. Harper covered her head with her hand and closed her eyes. As Mike's hand started to come down he hesitated. Harper opened her eyes and looked at Mike. Harper puts her hands down. They make eye contact, and Harper was in fear of what would happen next.
