MILLIE

I get woken up by the sound of Liam's voice.

"wh-what's happening?" I ask. Sitting up, rubbing my eyes and looking around the small room that we're in.

"where are we?" I ask looking over to Liam.

I look over to the door. "pippie, where are you going?" I ask even tho none of my other questions have been answered yet.

"wait, me? Oh, I'm not pippie!" the girl laughs "wh-what? Yes, you are, come on pip I think I'd recognise my best friend."

"I'm pippie." another voice says from the other side of the dark room.

I turn my head to the bed that Cory is sitting on and for the first time, sure enough, I see my true best friend sitting up on the same bed.

"Who are you?" asked pippie standing up from the bed and walking over to the mysterious stranger who has made no attempt to move away from the door.

"the names Amirra," said the girl walking over to pippie and holding out her hand for her to shake.

"your Molly," she says looking over to me for the first time. "and your Liam and Cory. I've heard so much about you, this is amazing I knew you'd be here but I never thought Ambrose would let me meet you."

the girl has a lot of energy, I've never heard anyone talk so fast in my life, she also has a very strong Australian accent, well I guess we made it here despite the plan crash.

I'm pulled out of my thoughts by a strange smell coming from down the hallway, it's sweet but at the same time very strong and bitter.

"I'm so hungry!" Liam speaks for the first time since he woke me up.

"What time is it?" Cory says looking at his wrist for the watch Pippie got him for their anniversary but it's not there. "where is it?" he says looking back up to Amirra. "Where's my watch?"

"oh, that, you can have it back soon enough, we had to take away any sort of weapons you could have had on you, the last thing we want here is anyone getting hurt."

I look at pippie and she moves her hand to where her diamond necklace charm would normally rest as if she'd only just realised it wasn't there.

I can't focus on anything else that is happening with the others the only thing I can think about is that smell that's getting stronger and stronger by the second.

"three days?" I hear pippie ask, suddenly drawing my attention back to the group.

"What, we've been asleep for three days."

"yes, that's normally how long the transition takes" Amirra answers.

"transaction?" Liam asked. I'm so confused

"yes the transaction, you get bit, you drink blood, die with it in your system then three days later you wake up good as new."

"wait a minute, we died?" I say, what the hell is happening here, I'm so confused.

"Technically, yes, your all vampires, pippie was supposed to be kept human considering she is now, what's known as a Celtic, meaning your half warlock, one-quarter vampire, Also since your mum is non-magical you'll always be one-quarter human.

Wow, I would have thought you'd know all about this pippie, considering your mum's corporation to the underworld in her Teenage years."

I look back to the other three and realise that they are all equally as confused as I am.

"oh also," Amira adds. "happy birthday pippie. I know it was three days ago, but I do feel bad that you missed it, unfortunately I didn't get you a present and all of your things got destroyed in the plane crash, but I did manage to save this."

Amirra reaches into her pocket and pulls out a little wite box with a silver ribbon wrapped around it in the sharp of a bow. Pippie takes it from her and says thank you.

"what the hell did your dad do this time?" I here Liam say. I turn around to scold him and realise that he was whispering into Cory's ear.

how did i hear what he said.

"it's vampire hearing," Amirra says as if she can read my mind.

"Please, tell me what he said? I'm so fascinated by the fact you can hear anything you want, I'm almost jealous by it."

"I couldn't hear anything." pippie replies sounding a bit disappointed.
"that's because your only one quarter vampire, you have vampire speed and strength, but you don't have as good hearing as other vampires.

Also you don't heal as fast and you don't have the same need for blood as your friends do.

But don't worry, you might not be as 'cool' a vampire as your friends here, but being half warlock means you can do so many other cool things that they couldn't dream of doing."

" did - did you say blood?" I ask interrupting whatever they were talking about.

"oh right, that reminds me, breakfast is ready." she says walking into the hallway and pushing in a silver trolley filled with what looks like bags of blood, it smells so good.

"this is for you," she hands pippie a mcdonalds ham burger, "no mustard and extra pickles. Ambrose did a background check on all of you before you got here Saturday." Amirra explains.

"Bon appetite, I'll be back in about an hour. Oh and pippie," the strange girl says turning back to us all for the last time.

"you can have some blood aswell if you want some, but not to much, lets just say, it doesn't quite have the same affect on you as it does for your friends."

and with that Amirra backs away finally leaving the four of us alone with nothing but a small white box, a mcdonalds ham burger and a surprisingly amazing smelling trolley filled to the top with bags of blood.
