Sam and his two best friends, Tara and Katrina, walked to their lockers—which were located right beside each others—before first period started. When Sam opened his locker door, he saw a slip of paper slowly fly out and land on the ground.

"What's that?" Katrina asked as Sam picked up the piece of paper and looked at it without reading it. "It's a note." Sam said as he continued to look at it. "Well what does it say?" Tara questioned with some excitement in her voice.

"I don't know. I haven't read it yet." Sam shrugged. "Why not?" Katrina frowned. "I'm not sure. How 'bout at lunch we can read it?" Sam suggested. Both Tara and Katrina agreed to the idea.

Sam put the note in his lunchbox so that he wouldn't forget about it, then the three of them headed off for their first classes.

Sam, Tara and Katrina were sitting in their usual spot underneath the pink blossom tree with excitement in all their bodies. Sam opened his lunchbox and took out the note without even acknowledging the food that laid inside.

Before he let Tara and Katrina have a peak at it, he decided to read it first:

I could watch you for a single minute and find a thousand things I love about you <3

"So, Mr. Smiley Pants what does it say?" Tara asked with a smirk. "More importantly who's it from?" Katrina questioned eagerly.

"I don't know who it's from..."
