Today, Grandma and I are moving! I hope that I'm not going to be the weirdest kid on the block anymore. That's it for now journal. - Wyborn Lovat

"Wyborn, come help me move these suitcases into the car while I make sure we've packed everything."
"Of course Grandma, just let me finish tying down my bike."

After I tied down my motorized bike I went to pick up the suitcases. They we're kinda heavy but that's okay. I placed them on top of the car and hooked them to it. After that I climbed into my seat and Grandma started the car.
We are at a rest stop so we can stretch, eat, and go to the restroom. As I walked out to sit in the car I tripped over a piece of metal and ended landing on my left wrist, there was a crack and I immediately knew I broke something.

"Wyborn, what happened?!"
"I tripped Grandma, I think I broke my wrist. Ahh, it hurts!"

Tears welled in my eyes as Grandma rushed me towards the car. We took a detour to the nearest Children's Hospital and checked into the ER. After a little bit of waiting and getting examined I got a cast on my wrist and we were on the road again. When we arrived at the house there was a sign stating that we were in the right place. It was huge, and pink, this is going to be amazing! Our cat Charlie rustled in his cage as he looked at the house too. He tilted his head and looked over the scaping before curling into a ball and falling asleep again. I chuckled at our lazy cat and got out to start unpacking the car. Grandma opened Charlie's cage and he started roaming around the area. The moving men walked out of the house and Grandma walked in with me. She payed the two men a good tip and softly closed the door. I quickly ran up the stairs to find a good room and picked one that had a window seat. It looked pretty bare but nothing a few stuffies and pictures couldn't change.

"Hey Grandma! I'm going to go explore!"
"Okay, just make sure not to get too muddy."

I grabbed my bag that held my tongs, sketch book, charcoal pencils, and a few random pins I found while moving. Them heading to Grandma's car I grabbed my welding mask and got my bike off the car. Charlie ran ahead of me and I followed him down a well worn trail. Coming to a stop I found myself at something that looked like a fairy circle. I sketched it out and heard a piece of wood snap. I turned to the sound and found a blue headed girl coming down a less worn path. Charlie came out from behind some rocks and rubbed against my side.

"Who are you and why are you at the well?"
"I'm Wybie Lovat, short for Wyborn. Not my idea of course. What we're saddled with?"
"I wasn't saddled with anything! It's Coraline, Coraline Jones."
"Caroline, it's not a very scientific name but people with common names are sesn to have more average expectations."
"My name isn't Caroline, it's Coraline! Anyways, why are you around here? I haven't seen kid's my age in awhile around here. I take care of the garden near the Pink Palace."
"That's actually where I came from, I just moved in. My Grandma thought it would be best to get a fresh start for middle school."
"My mom really rented it out to you? She usually doesn't allow people with kids to live there, I'm actaully not allowed there myself. Something about my mom's aunt going missing when she was younger. I think it's got nothing to do with the house though, that she just ran away."
'WYBORN! WYBORN!'
"I think someone's calling you, Wyborn."
"I don't hear anything!"
"But I did Why-Were-You-Born."
'WYBORN!'
"*gasp* Grandma! I gotta go, see you later Caroline!"
"It's Coraline!"

That girl is mean! I hopped back onto my bike and started riding while flipping down my mask. When I got to our doorstep I locked my bike up and headed inside, letting Charlie in before he could get soaked by the oncoming rain. After I stepped foot inside it started pouring. Grandma was on a call a so I started preparing dinner for us, I decided on just making spaghetti since it's the only thing we have right now. We ate and talked about plans for everything we were going to do. After we ate she washed the dishes while I showered and dressed for bed. I sat in the living room while sketching our cat in different poses. After awhile I noticed a pattern in the wall that didn't match the rest. I walked over to it and caught the black cat's attention. I pressed my hand to it and it moved slightly, letting out a slight creek from the new found pressure I provided.

"I wonder if Grandma knows about this?"

It looked to be a door type shape, a tiny one at that. I got up from kneeling and headed towards the kitchen. Looking through the drawers I found a peculiar key with a button shape on top. I shrugged it off and placed it back in the drawer. Why was I in here again? Meh, I should head to bed, it's getting pretty late.

"Night Grandma!"

What I got in return was a snore from the living room and the creeking of her wooden rocking chair. As I was about to head to bed there was a knocking on the door. I checked it and found something wrapped up some clothe. I took it inside and layed it on the table. After unravelling the clothe I noticed it was a doll that looked like me. It was dressed in something that looked like my pajamas, they're blue and white pinstriped.

'Hey there Why-Were-You-Born, thought this patch of scraps looked familiar. - CORaline'

"Well, hey there little me. I guess I should make you a bed tomorrow. Oh, now I remember what i was going to do!"

I quickly ran back to the drawer of keys and grabbed the strange looking key. I carefully walked past my sleeping gaurdian and looked at the indent. I saw the gap of loose paper and quickly dragged the key across it, effectively taring it open. I tried sticking the key in the keyhole indent and it suprisingly unlocked. I opened it and excitedly looked at the new discovery, only to find a brick wall. Aw man, ah well I should head to bed. I grabbed my mini me and went to my room.
During the night I awoke to the sound of squeaks and tiny thumps. I looked beside my door and found a small mouse passing by. It perked my interest and I followed it down the stairs. We arrived at the tiny door and the small mouse slipped through. I smiled and opened the door wider. It was a tunnel that was colourful and as soft as velvet. I crawled through and softly pushed open the door. There was slight gravely humming and the sound of cooking filling the air. I stood up and looked around. Everything looked okay, though somethings were off.
