                                                           Chapter 22

                                                          Zayn's POV

I hate this so much. As much as I love Alix, and as much as I wanted to hold and touch her, I stopped. I am such an ass. What kind of idiot stops kissing the girl of his dream. I bet if I look up the word idiot, there would be a big picture of my face. ARGH!

The next day comes around and Alix asks me if I am able to help her find a wedding dress. Why me? Why?

Woe is me! Woe is Zayn Malik! I cursed in my head. It feels like a million stabs in the back due to this. Her wanting me to come to the wedding, now her wanting me to help her find a dress that she will wed Jacob in! It's like me against the world right now. AND I HATE IT!!!!!

"Sure, why not?" I force out. Alix smiles with glee. I love that smile. Her smile. I sure enough will miss it. I sigh.

It is not a far walk from our bus to the dress store. Alix and I enter the store and instantly, a woman welcomes us inside, and asks if we may need help with finding anything.

Can you help me end a nightmare? I thought to myself.

"Actually, we need a dress. A wedding dress" says Alix. The woman smiles then giggles. "What?"

"I never heard of the bride allow the groom to see the dress she wears" says the woman.

My cheeks flush. She is reffering me as the groom and Alix being my lovely bride. If only it was me, rather than Jacob. I smile weakly and look to notice Alix's cheeks blush.

"Oh, no, he-he-he is just a friend. He's helping me look for a dress" says Alix. The woman gasps and apologizes for the misunderstanding. Alix nods and accepts the woman's apology.

I honestly wish that it was true that Alix and I were getting married. She makes the most beautiful bride. She and I wander through the store, looking for dresses to wear. Alix tries some on. Too small. Too long. Too thick. Too wide. Sigh.

Then comes one. She walks out of the dressing room wearing a dress that comes down pass her ankles, covering her feet in ruffles, a thick strap halfway above the stomach, with a ruffled flower on the side. The dress is beautiful and heart-shaped...and the color is light shade of pink. Not only is the dress beautfiul, but the bride wearing is even more.

"Well?" asks Alix. "What you think?"

I bit down my lip once I got a chance to look at her. She has pure beauty. This is much different from the beauty I saw in Perrie (my ex-girlfriend) a few years ago. Alix's beauty is by far more than Perrie's.

"Beautiful" I say--- not really trying to refer just to the dress. Alix curles a delighting smile. The smile I love.

Alix gets the dress and has it wrapped up. When we go back to the bus, Alix sighs.

"What is it?" I ask. She bites down on her lip before answering.

"I just don't know what to do. I mean, me and Jacob getting married, changes everything. What do I do?" she asks, before getting onto the empty bus. I look around and see that the guys are not here. They must've wen't out.

Alix sighs as she sits on the settee. I sigh. I hate to see her like this. I look over at the radio and walk over and try to find a station to turn to. I stop when I hear a song play.

She's all laid up in bed with a broken heart

While I'm drinking Jack all alone in my local bar and we don't know how

How we got into this mad situation, only doing things out of frustration

Trying to make it work, but, man, these times are hard

I go over to Alix and hold my hand out, she takes it and stands. I rest my hands on her backside as her arms are around my neck. We dance gently due to the tune and rythm of the music.

She needs me now but I can't seem to find the time

I got a new job now on the unemployment line and we don't know how

How we got into this mess, is it God's test? Someone help us 'cause we're doing our best

Trying to make things work, but, man, these times are hard

But we're gonna stop by drinking our cheap bottles of wine

Sit talking up all night, saying things we haven't for a while, a while, yeah

We're smiling but we're close to tears, even after all these years

We just now got the feeling that we're meeting for the first time

The beat changes and I take her hand twirl her around. She slightly chuckles as we now dance hand in hand. Twirling. Tilting. Rocking. Just having fun.

She's in line at the dole with her head held high

While I just lost my job but didn't lose my pride, and we both now how

How we're going to make it work when it hurts, when you pick yourself up you get kicked to the dirt

Tryin' to make it work, but, man, these times are hard

But we're gonna start by drinking our cheap bottles of wine

Sit talking up all night, doing things we haven't for a while, a while, yeah

We're smiling but we're close to tears, even after all these years

We just now got the feeling that we're meeting for the first time

The tempo and beat returns to slow and we slow down. Just rocking side to side, gently.

Drinking our cheap bottles of wine

Sit talking up all night, saying things we haven't for a while, a while, yeah

We're smiling but we're close to tears, even after all these years

We just now got the feeling that we're meeting for the first time

We dance around as the beats paces up.For the first time

Oh, for the first time

Yeah, for the first time

We just now got the feeling that we're meeting for the first time

Oh, these times are hard, yeah, they're making us crazy

Don't give up on me, baby

Oh, these times are hard, yeah, they're making us crazy

Don't give up on me, baby

We come to a stop as the rythm slows down and I rest my hands around her waist as she rests her arms around my neck.

Oh, these times are hard, yeah, they're making us crazy

Don't give up on me, baby

Oh, these times are hard, yeah, they're making us crazy

Don't give up on me, baby...

The song ends and once it does Alix allows a small grin to cross her face. I smile back and before I know it my lips crash onto hers.
