I was sitting on my bed, looking through my window at the ocean waves, trying to put my mind off the whispers of the fairies that have been around me ever since I was a baby. My life has been great these last 10 years all thanks to my foster father, captain Scar. Then, I felt a hot tear running down my cheek. It is hard enough not to know my mom but I also didn't get enough of my father. Even though I want to know better about my mom, I can't help but cry at what people say about how much I look like her and how my hair is just a copy of hers, so I tend to hide my hair in my hat. My train of thought is then disturbed by a knock on my door.

"Come in.", I say for whoever is out there.

"Ahoy, Elora," says my captain, captain Scar, "Why are you sitting alone here come down and sit with your comrades, you are the vice-captain."

I smile and nod. "Aye, aye."

When I go down, I find the whole crew drunk to the roots. I am not scared because we lived together far too long for them to repeat any foolish mistakes. I remember the first time something like that happened. It was when I turned 12. I was a very beautiful redhead lady with a lot taken from my mom, or so they say. Then, Simon, a comrade from our crew, approached me drunkenly; calling me my mom's name, Scarlett. Ultimately, I just couldn't help but punch him in the face. With the punch, he sobered up and apologized with fresh red blood trickling from his nose. I felt the overwhelming power inside me increase for the first time. I have inhuman strength that makes me 10 times stronger than an average pirate. The fairies around me always say things in their language, so I heard a lot of things from them but was always dumbfounded with cluelessness.

To my surprise, I found captain Scar sitting. He would usually be dancing and running wild while drunk, so I figured he wasn't drunk which means he would be throwing a speech. I can't drink as I am only 18 years old; thus, they keep some juice available for me. When captain scar figured I was there, he stood up with his only leg, the second is merely a wooden stick, and went to the middle of the deck. It was my queue to announce.

"All-hand hoy," I yelled.

Everyone got to the deck and looked up to the captain's location.

"Ahoy me hearties! Avest ye," exclaims captain Scar with our flag flapping beside him, "there will be a lad that will join us. He gave me a letter telling me he will arrive by tomorrow. I want all of you to welcome him with all the hearties kindness."

"AYEE," we all shouted with one voice.
