Chapter 11

Me: I don't understand my physics equations.

I said wiping my tears. He sat up straight, took my worksheet then stared at it for a while and he smiled taking my pencil. He started scribbling on the paper, after a few minutes he gave it back to me. I looked at the paper and he did it exactly how my teacher told me. A smile crept on my face.

Me: How did you do it? (I said happily and he only laughed.)

Santiago: I guess I will be a teacher today.

He said smiling to me. He helped me and I got everything right then we chilled talking and later we cooked supper and I took him home after he ate.

We wrote our final exams and am glad to say I wrote without stuggling. Today was the day to fetch our results and Santiago was taking me to school. Grams is not always there for me because she works a lot and when she come back, she comes back tired so I keep myself busy with Santiago. I got dressed up in my uniform and when I as done I recieved a text.

I sighed and walked to school. I got there and they gave me my report card. I opened and happiness took it's toll on me as I was now screaming and jumping around the class. Everyone looked at me like I was crazy. Well at school I don't have friends and am also always serious for I don't want any "friend" betrayal following me and I also don't want people to get used to me and start being too comfrotable to a point they make fun of me or bully me. So if am serious everyone is scared to approach me. I was now waiting for Santiago to come fetch me when someone tapped my shoulder. I turned back and I was met by a smile of a dark handsome guy looking at me.)

Him: Hey am Daniel.(He said reaching out his hand)

Me: Hey am Shantel.(I said also reaching out my hand to give him a handshake.)

Daniel: I just wanted to know you because you are always serious so I couldn't approach you but since today am seeing a smile on your face I thought I should take chances.

Me: Oh well you lucky you caught me in a good mood. ( He chuckled.)

Daniel: Are you waiting for someone?

Me: Yes am waiting for someone and it seems like he is caught up somewhere. Let me call him. ( I took out my phone and called Santiago but it rang straight to voice mail.) " Oh well we might as well walk together as he is not answering my calls.."

Daniel: This is my lucky day.

We laughed and talked about school and careers. As we were walking down the street, I saw Santiago running. He saw me and came to us.

Santiago: Didn't I tell you that I will fetch you from school? I just went there and looked like an idiot asking for you!(He said angrily.)

Me: I tried calling you at school but your phone was on voice mail. ( I said reasoning with him. )

Santiago: So you saw it fit to ignore my calls when I call and you also decide to walk with a guy you don't know?

Daniel: Dude, take a chill pill, she's here now and besides we both school students, I wouldn't do anything to harm her. ( He said defending me.)

Santiago: Don't you dare talk to me like that and you also didn't have a right to take my girlfriend from school.

I was surprised that he called me his girlfriend.

Daniel: Well then that's not how you treat a girl and-...

Santiago: You won't tell me how to treat my girlfriend and I don't have time to argue with school idiots nxa!!

He said disturbing him from finishing his sentence. He gently pulled me using my hands. We got home and I actually laughed at him. He looked at me relieved that am not angry I guess.

Me: Girlfriend huh? (I said smilling)

Santiago: I was just marking my territory but don't worry you will be my girlfriend one day. (He winked. I chose not to commment because I didn't know what to say back. He took my report fom my bag and stared at it for a few minutes and then he raised his head giving me a proud smile.) "Am proud of you shanti, I think I should take you out to show you that am proud" ( He said that talking me by surprise.)
