-Sasha's POV-

Alright.

Coast clear. I can do this.

Go for the boulder and hide before they see me. Then I can quickly crawl to the house and break in through that big window on the left. No biggie.

I made a small leap on all fours, quickly pressing my back towards the big boulder and looking around to see if anyone saw me. I was on a super stealth mission. To infiltrate a house and grab the most precious objects inside. I wasn't armed, so I couldn't risk being caught. I wasn't even wearing my gear, just my civilian clothes. I had forgotten to do this before now, I had only realised I forgot while halfway through my dinner. So I snuck out while everyone else was in the mess hall, leaving my dinner unfinished.

But it would be worth it. And so far so good. I haven't been seen yet. I made a dash for the house, not looking back. My breaths had grown heavy, but I was too close to finishing the mission to back down now. I gripped onto a windowsill that was directly above me. Slowly, I lifted my head and peeked into the house, through the window. My eyes zeroed in on what my goal was. It was casually spread over the table, right where it was easiest for me to snatch. I couldn't see it exactly, just the shadow of it, since all the lights were turned out.

My eyes scanned the room. No one seemed to be there. I grinned. Perfect. Carefully sliding the window open, I hoisted myself up and climbed through the opening. The window was large enough for me to crawl through, it was just a tiny bit of a squeeze.

I pushed myself through, entering the house with a victorious face. However, the next second I ended up falling onto the floor with a thud. Crap. Did anyone hear me? Okay, looks like no one did.

In the lair of the demon, I stealthily made my way to the table, my hand reaching up and feeling for the treasure I had come all this way for. I couldn't see anything in the dark, so I had to rely on my hand to find what I was looking for.

There. I felt it. My face a wide smile, I made a dash for the window, clutching my treasure. I was just about to lift one leg through the window when the lights flicked on suddenly, shining down at me.

"WHO-" I heard someone shout at me. They stopped abruptly, probably realising who I was. I couldn't see very well, the bright lights blinding me, especially after being a ninja in the dark for so long. I blinked rapidly, trying to clear my vision.

"Ms. Blouse? What are you-" A blonde man snatched the crumpet I was holding, well, a nearly smashed crumpet from how tight I was holding it, and put it back on the plate. I could vaguely see him bustling about, quickly locking all the food in sight into a cupboard. I pouted as I watched all the food disappear.

"Hey, I wanted that." I complained.

"That doesn't justify you breaking into the house and stealing it," Niccolo said, sounding like what my mom would say. He even stood sternly looking at me with his hands on his hips, looking exactly like my mom. "You aren't some starved animal, you know."

"But the food back in camp tastes horrible," I said, trying not to laugh and plopping down onto a chair at the table. I stared wistfully at the empty plates which used to be filled with yummy goodness. But now all that's stacked away, out of my reach.

"You've lived on it for years, what's the problem now?"

"It tastes horrible after eating your delicious food," I said in a flattering tone and a smile, hoping he'll give me something to eat.

But it didn't work. He just scorned at me and pointed to the door. "Get out before I have to drag you out," he said, irritated.

"Come onnnn not even a bite before I go?" I pleaded as I reluctantly got up from the table and walked towards the door.
