what is love ♡

So me and my mum were just chilling around watching a typical Bollywood movie bcz we were bored so as you know that when the hero and heroine meet for the first time everything stops etc etc happens (in accordance with Bollywood movies)

I am very frank with my mother I can talk to her about anything as she is my best friend so I asked her how did she feel when she met my father for the first time in college
(As they had a love marriage) so I wanted to see if it's anything like the concepts we have in our minds due to Bollywood movies anyways she hesitated a little bit then decided to tell me

So she asked me what do you actually wanna know , because I already know how they met and everything so I said I wanna know what love is ?

She made a weird expression and said ok I will tell you

She said love is not when you see a person and your heart beats faster you feel excited breathless cold , you feel goosebumps
It's not when everything stops
It's not when when you feel a bit uncomfortable

....

Love is when , when you see someone your heart beat goes slow you feel very warm you feel restless
Most of all after all this you feel comfortable
She said you will feel safe with that person even when you are alone in a dark room you will feel safe
You will feel comfortable with them whenever you are with them you will know deep inside that they will protect you from anyone and Everyone
She said that you may meet all the boys but that one boy will be irreplaceable
Love is when you think about spending life with each other instead of thinking about dirty stuff.

She said if you are Locked in a room with a person who loves you instead of taking advantage of the situation he will comfort you he will do anything to make you feel better

Love is not when a person just wants to kiss you on the lips it's when he respects you and instead of kissing you on the lips he kisses your forehead in Respect

He respects you and your choices he will not change anything Abt you

Then she said that when I met your father for the first time , I saw him as a brother and he was brother zoned but after a year I started feeling safe around him I started feeling comfortable I felt more safe with him then anyone and that's when your father and I started talking and after three years got married

She said that your father was very protective , even though we lived far away from each other still everyday when I went in a rickshaw (a vehicle) he used to write down the number of the rickshaw , he used to keep a close eye on me anytime we were in college no matter where I was in college he was always around

And now it's been 20 years since we knew each other and 17 years since we got married and still your father and I have a best friend bond

I was in shock like here I couldn't express it as nicely as my mom talked about it with me she talked in a very jokely manner
