Shanaya's POV
I raised my head to see him staring straight at me.
"Mom said you want to talk something to me but before that I would like to say something"
He looked at me as if he didn't understand what I am talking about.
Then he slowly said "yeah sure"
Come on shanu tell him your not interested in this marriage
"Look I'm not interested in this marriage now. Maybe after two years I will think about it" I said it all in one breath.
He was looking at me amused and I don't know why.
He cleared his throat and asked "Why after 2years? I mean you are not totally against marriage so if you don't have any problem in doing marriage after two years why not now?"
"Because I want to be independent. I mean I want to achieve something in my life as SHANAYA MATHUR daughter of RAJEEV MATHUR and not as someone's wife" I said.
I saw him staring at me intently and waited for him to say something.
He finally asked "how are you gonna do it?"
I know he will ask this question. So I smiled and said "I have been working hard for past 3years and I'm sure I will be promoted to Manager post very soon. Maybe you could wait for me for 2 years if you like me or......" I paused and shrugged like saying "or you could do otherwise, that's your wish".
He was looking happy, a bit proud maybe, I don't know.
"That's really great" he replied smilingly.
