When Elliot and I first arrived here we started working on the building right away. We had to um... go and " Borrow" Many things from the small town close by, but we took very little at a time to avoid suspicion. Soon we had everything that we needed to live a comfortable life in solitude and a nice new built house to keep us sheltered and finish home.

The house itself was not a total wreck when we found it. The walls were still firm and in place and the whole structure was holding up well. We just had to fix up the inside and make it livable.

We had a well in the back for freshwater and of course a massive garden full of just about anything you could think of. Plus we had a small animal farm going on. Elliot knew how to breed and raise livestock, so we had a good start for that.

We had chickens, goats, sheep, pigs, rabbits, and two cows. Elliot showed me how to take care of them all and I learned quickly. We had tons, and tons of room out here. Even with our garden and animal farm, we still had miles and miles of rolling hills to do what we pleased with.

We were fortunate that a long time ago a big storm blew over where the town had been. It allowed us to grab some animals from a farm here and there without anyone getting suspicious. From what I know some of the animals that we did not even take were never found after that, so that went along with us finely.

Since we were living so far away from society we did not have the luxury of electricity or anything that came along with it. But that was alright, the very point of this all was living alone and away from people anyway.

I was currently on the porch, sitting down with some rope and small poles. I was fixing one of the forest traps that had been damaged last night. Finishing up the last few knots it needed to keep it together.

Elliot was out in the field, tending to the animals and Garden. I knew Rahjo, the Saint bernard Puppy that Elliot had found about a year ago was out there with him. Every now and then I could hear him bark in the distance.

In front of me in the grass was the newest addition to the farm. A small little kitten that had wandered in about a month ago. We decided, why the heck not? Rahjo could have a playmate and she could help keep pests away.

I jumped when something rolled into me. Looking back I realized that Rosaline had rolled one of her toys away and over to me by accident.

Who was Rosaline? Rosaline was Elliots and I's a seventh-month-old daughter. She was sitting on a blanket only a few feet behind me with some other homemade toys around her.

She looked at me with her sad brown eyes that matched her father's and I gave her a smile before rolling it back over to her. Everything about her matched her father.

Only seven months old and already had a practical full head of black curly hair. Her brown eyes were almost always furrowed with worry, even if she was not necessarily sad. And even though she had a lot of baby fat on her, even her face shape matched his.

Her sad tilted brown eyes watched the ball roll back over to her, stopping when it hit the blanket. She only stared at it as if it was the first time she had ever seen it and she had no idea was it was. Her chest rose and fell quickly with her deep and loud breaths. Another thing inherited from daddy.

This made a laugh want to burst forth from me. I remembered back at the Asylum when Elliot would do this with practically every new object I showed to him. This really easy board game that I picked out of the box? What the Hell was that? This spork I found laying around the cafeteria. Nah that's the Devil.

" Rosaline sweetie, what's wrong?" I asked with a tilt of my head. She only let out a little huff before trying to maneuver her chubby little body so that she could reach the toy I just rolled to her.
