Eren, hello, look at the toys I've gotten you!" Carla carefully lifted Eren's head to face her. "Eren, look my way! Eren, look at me! Eren! Eren! EREN YEAGER LOOK AT ME!" Carla began to clap, snap, and wave her hand in Eren's face to get any reaction at all from him. Then she realized...

"EREN PLEASE LOOK AT ME!"

GRISHA COME QUICKLY!!
Grisha, Eren's father rushed in. "What's the matter Carla?!"
"EREN'S NOT RESPONDING! HE ALWAYS RESPONDS TO ME!!"

"He's blind and deaf..." Grisha stated with despair in his cracking voice.
"No, no no, he- it can't be... The doctors said he was fine just yesterday... The checkup coul-couldn't have been wrong... They can't, no they wouldn't..." She stated in a soft depressing voice. "Nn- No, NO, YOUR WRONG GRISHA, HES FINE HES FI-" Grisha cut her off. "Carla, even you know its true..." No, no, my baby doesn't deserve this, he-he deserves to be normal, like the other kids...! Carla began to sob.
"I'm sorry Carla..." Grisha said.
