Lilly had always known that she was different from the rest and not just because of her unusual purple eyes that looked wise beyond her years, but because she could hear and see things other people couldn't. When Lilly was younger she would always tell her mother about the things she saw or heard but she would always brush it aside and assume that it was just her over active imagination but as she got older the "visions" never stopped. At the age of nine her mother had began to worry, Lilly had always been smart for her age but she just wouln't let go of her imagination or "visions".
One day Lilly and her mother had gotten into a argument with each other over whatever she was seeing was real or not, Lilly hadn't meant for anything bad to happen but she had gotten so angry that the lights above them started to flicker. Both of them had failed to notice the flickering lights until it was too late, suddenly they both heard a big bang from up above them and they both watch astonished as glass and sparks rained down from the ceilling around them. Lilly did not know what had happened but when she looked into her mothers eyes with confusion in her own but what she saw confused her even more, she saw an emotion flicker behind her mothers eyes. Fear. She could not believe that her mother, the strongest person she knew was afraid of shattering glass. She stepped torwards her mother trying to comfort her but as she took the first step closer her mother jerked back as if electrocuted and then it came to her, her mother was not afraid of the glass that had settled around their feet or the sparks that were still falling but of her. Lilly quickly backed up and ran up to her room then started to pack, Lilly did not want to leave but she couldn't stand the look of fear in her mothers eyes as that one moment began to play over and over again in her head like a broken record. She then began to cry huge wet tears but she knew that she had to keep going so she tried to blink them out of her eyes and continue to pack her bags as quickly as she could, Lilly had packed her favorite navy blue cashmere sweater, a couple of jeans and shorts then some old t-shirts that she loves to wear the she grabbed her favorite jacket off her bed and head to the door. She then ran back down stairs only to see her mother frozen in the same exact place but looking torwards her as she walked down the stairs. With tears running down her face and the dam beginning to break she smiled a small smile at her mom then walked out the door.
Lilly had made it a couple miles from her house before she realized that she had nowhere to go or any food to eat as her stomache starts to make a loud rumbling sound like a train on tracks and then the dam breaks, ahe sits down and starts ro think about wht she's gonna do now. Even thought she had nowhere to go she knew she would figure something out. Lilly had always been smart for her age and after building her first AI at the age of five she knew that she would find a way to make a living out on the street even as a ten year old girl.
