The Padawan Falls Back
GET DOWN!!", ordered a Clone commando, as a sniper droid threw a thermal detonator. I hid behind a burnt-out Republic tank next to the corpse of a shock trooper. Clutching my glistening saber hilt, I contemplated whether or not I should come out of hiding and attack with the Jedi Masters.
I deflected blaster bolts back at battle droids as I sprinted onto the battlefield. Master Windu glanced back at me briskly as I approached him. "Retreat to the temple [Y/N]!", he yelled. "Regroup with the other padawans there!", he ordered over the deafening sounds of the never ending battle.
When I was sprinting for what seemed like hours, I felt the presence of enemies close by. As a Senate shuttle came into view there was a thunderous orange explosion. The shuttle, my last chance of escape. It was gone.
As I woke, I smelt the strange combination of diesel and disinfectant. My hands and feet were cuffed to the silver seat that I was sitting on. I was panicked and stressed but remembered my training.
I looked around at my surroundings. No windows, no decoration and one door that had two small steps leading up to it. I was on a separatist prison.
"Excuse me! Guard!", I yelled out at the battle droid outside my cell.
"Silence prisoner 11-328.", he replied, attempting to silence me.
"I'm so sorry. I didn't want it to come to this.", I whispered back. I used the force to pull him towards the door and unlock the door."What? No! This is a breach of protocol!", he yelled as he floated slowly across my cell, towards an ID card slot that disabled my hand and leg cuffs. When I was finally free, I force pushed the droid into the wall, causing him to slowly lose power. I snatched my lightsaber from his utility belt as he spoke his final words.
"Escaped prisoner level 6. Jedi padawan, age-", I slashed his neck to shut him up.
"You bastard!", I yelled, as I picked his head off the floor and sprinted out the cell.About 5 droids were heading my way as I turned the corner. "Bantha fodder!", I screamed as I threw the head at a droid captain.
"Hey, that hurt! Capture the Jedi!", he ordered at the other droids.
"Roger roger.", a subordinate acknowledged.I had an incoming transmission on my com link. "No, no, no, no! Not now!", I yelled as I deflected blaster fire back at the battle droids. It was a never ending back and forth battle. "Ugh, I don't have time for this!", I screamed as I furiously threw my saber at the battle droids, decapitating them all.
As the droids fell to the ground, I leaped over them and made my way to the elevator. I finally had a safe place to answer the transmission. "Hello? Who is this?", I asked, holding the com link up to my mouth.
"Grievous... Coruscant ... Army!", what sounded like a Jedi Youngling shouted anxiously through static."What?", I questioned, panicked. "What did you say?", I said again, now scared. The transmission was blocked. "What did she say about Grievous?", I whispered to myself. I heard loud, mechanical footsteps and aggressive coughing. "Oh.", I suddenly realised.
