Chapter 1: Westport

I stopped after 11 hour drive. I got out of the car and looked around. I stopped in front of a small corner store. It's a cut building and so is the other stores in the town. I walked to the corner store and read a sign welcome to Westport California. I smiled and walked in.  I was greeted by the guy behind counter. I smiled at him and grabbed a newspaper where I could find an apartment or a house.

I walked around a little more. I got a energy drink and a bag of chips. I walked to the counter to check out. I told the guy behind to keep the change and walk outside and sat down on a bench. I opened the newspaper and looked at the apartment listings.

As I was reading I heard huming of a engine pulling in. I looked up and saw a 2017 black camaro. I looked at the beauty from a far. I bet it a fast car. I said to my self.

The drive side door opened and tall man came out from the car. I couldn't look away. He has white pal skin and shaggy blond hair. He looks oddly familiar to me. The passenger side door opened and another male popped out.

"Hey Don, u want anything from inside?" The male said looking at the blond that was driving.

Don?

Don look at him. "Nah man I'm good. Imma fill her up though."

The male that came out form the passenger side started walking towards the corner store.

I tried to look down at the paper and pretend to read. In the corner of my eye I see him looking at me. He stopped beside me.

"Hey gorgeous. You don't look familiar. You new here?" He said to me. I looked up.

"Um, yeah I am.

He smiles. "Nice. I'm Matthew. But u could call me Matt." He held out his hand.

"My name is Addy" I smiled shyly. "Nice to meet you"

Matt looked back at Don. "Hey! Could we have a plus one?"

Don looked up from his car and looked at us. He looked at me and walked towards us. He didn't stop looking at me.

"We're going to the party tonight, right? Why not invite her she's new in the town." Matt said.

I put my hand out to shake Dons hand. "Hi I'm Addy." 

He smiled "Don" he shook my hand then looked at Matt. " Yeah sure. Why not." He looked back at me "You want a ride or do u want to follow?"

I looked back at my car. " I'll follow." 

"Alright, we'll wait for Matt and we can go." I nod my head and walked towards my car.

I'm excited. Going to a part in my first day here. I think I'm going to like it here. I got into my car and started it but it nothing. I tried cranking the engine but nothing happens. Then the was a knock on the window. I jumped and saw Don. I opened my door.

"It won't start." I said.

"Yeah it sounds like ur battery is dead."

"Shit"

I heard home chuckle "Come on get your bag. I'll give you a ride."

I grabbed my bag and follow Don. Theres something about him that's familiar but I can't get my finger on it. He took my bag and put it in his back seat. "Thank you" I said.

He looks at me "It's not a problem." We looked at each other.

"What's Don short for?" I blurted out.

"Donavon"

I smiled "I'm sorry it's just you look so Familiar but I can't think of the reason." He also smiled. He opened his mouth but closed it when Matt came up.

"I'm ready" he said as he slid that passenger seat up and he crawled in back and put the seat back. "You can sit up Frount" I smiled

"Thank you" I got in

As Don got he started his car. It purred to life. I looked out the window enjoying the view off the water. It's so beautiful here. I love it. I already feel at home.

"So Addy where u from?" Matt asked me.

"I'm from Seattle."

"Oh then why come here?"

I shrugged my shoulder "To start over I guess."

Silence filled the car. I looked over at Don.

He looks like an ex that I used to date long distance. We never meet but we always Facetime each other every night. I think this is him. I looked out the window internally freaking out. Donavon Zeek Johnson. I'm in the same car as him. The very first boyfriend I ever had and my first heartbreak.

"Hey. You okay? Looks like your freaking out?" Don said looking at me.

I opened my mouth to say something but then I felt a vidration in my back pocket. I reached for my phone and seen that Deric was calling me.

"Can you stop the car?" I asked Don. Without hesitation he pulled over. I got out of the car and the boys followed. I walked down by the water. I looked at my phone one last time and threw it into the water. I turned around and saw the confusion on their faces. "I needed to" I whispered. They looked at each other and smiled at me

"Let's get the party started" Matt said while crawling back into the car. I smiled. I'm ready to start a new here, with these guys. With my ex...

I looked at Don and he smiled at me. He knows. I looked down and got in the car and so did he. Now we are on our way to the party.
