Life was but a dream now that Miguel and I were in a relationship. Not a day would pass when I wouldn't wake up with a 'Good morning, Hermosa' or a 'Sweet dreams, my angel'. It didn't feel weird I thought it would. My mum would begin to come home from her accountancy job earlier and earlier, blaming her 'overly neurotic boss', so Miguel and I spent less time together (Like I wanted my mum to find out about our little tryst, that would be suicide).
I tell Michelle about 'us'. She literally screams.
'Wah? Isn't he.. But.. Rita, you have been a naughty girl indeed!' She exclaims, breathlessly.
'Shut up! No really, I don't know what came over me, I was crying an-'
'SO HE TOOK ADVANTAGE OF YOU?! SEE I KNEW IT! CAUGHT YOU AT YOUR MOST VULNERABLE, EH?'
'Woah, woah, woah. I think I would know if I was being taken advantage of, ok?' I try to restrain her, but a part of me feels really annoyed at the fact that she would say this. I put down the phone rather angrily. Me and him, we were a power couple. I was sure not to let anything get in the way of me and him. Nothing at all.
