It was a sunny day in the Himalayas, all the yetis were playing some games that the humans showed them, all of them except for Migo and Meechee. They were doing their own thing around the mountain.
The two yetis were racing each other to see who gets up the tip top of the mountain first. And Migo was winning.
"How are you so good at this?" Meechee asked him.
"I've spent a lot of times running around the mountain." Migo answered.
Then Migo reached the top and Meechee was ten seconds behind him.
"Ok you win." Meechee said out of breath, "Or did you?".
"What do you mean?" Migo asked.
"You'll see."
"See what- WOAH!".
Meechee lunged herself at Migo and the two rolled down the top of the mountain, laughing.
"I guess you win!" Migo told her, while still rolling.
Meechee giggled.
Bump!
The two yetis landed on the edge of the mountain with Meechee on top of Migo, pinning him to the ground.
"Yep you win." Migo told her.
"I know I did." Meechee teased.
The two yetis gazed into each other's eyes and got closer and closer until...
"What are you guys doing?" A voice asked.
They looked and saw Fleem standing a couple feet away from them.
"Fleem?!" Meechee asked while getting off of Migo, confused, "Where did you come from?".
"I was standing here ever since I saw you two tumble down the mountain.
"Well you didn't have to interrupt us!" Migo told him, getting up.
"I'll let you guys have your moment." Fleem said, "I have other things to do.".
"You said that like a thousand times." Migo told him.
Fleem walked away.
"Hey Migo." Meechee said, "Can I ask you something?"
"Sure." Migo replied.
"So uhh. We've known each other for a long time now and I think you're sweet, kind, fun-loving, and cute. And I've waited a long time to ask you this."
"I was also about to asked something that I've waited a long time to ask too."
"Can I say it first?"
"No I'll say it!"
"No I'll say it!"
"No I'll say it"
"No I'll say it!"
5 minutes later
"No I'll say it!"
"No I'll say it!"
"Let's say it at the same time."
"Ok."
"3, 2, 1!"
"Will you be my mate for life?"
"Will you be my mate for life?"
Migo and Meechee realized that they wanted to ask the same thing.
"Wow!" Migo said, surprised, "I never knew we had the same idea."
"Me either." Meechee replied, "So, let's be mates!"
"Sure!".
The two yetis were nuzzled each other and walked back to the village. The other yetis noticed them and were curious.
"What are you two smiling about?" Thorp asked.
"We're going to be mates one day." Meechee told her brother.
"What?"
"Yeah! Is everything ok?"
"I wonder what would Dad think of this."
"I'm sure he will accept it."
"And what if he won't?"
"I will make him!"
Thorp and Migo watched Meechee walk away and Migo and Thorp looked at each other and their shoulders went up and down and followed Meechee to the palace.
