Childe goes to a new school and falls in love with a skeleton named Sans, who is the most popular boy in school. But, Angel Dust, the school bully, is also in love with Sans!
With the help of Childe's new best friends, Bluestar and Sussus Impostor...
Bluestar said, "So, are you going to explain why we're here, Impostor?" Bluestar said.

Impostor answered, "I have hope. I think we can take down Angel Dust. But that's not important. We need to get Childe and Sans together."
Childe cheered,"That's the spirit!"
Bluestar still seemed unconvinced. She had transferred to this school a year ago, but she knew that Angle Dust wasn't one that could easily be beat. All she could do was shield her friends from him, but to overthrow him? It was unheard of!
But...
Bluestar said, "Childe and Sans do need to get together. Even better if we overthrow Angel Dust in the process."
Childe said, 'Yeah and Sans is so hot and funny and nice and hot.... I have to date him!"
He has to try. It was important to overthrow Angel Dust, but it was especially important to keep Angel Dust away from Sans so Childe can have a PERFECT opportunity to swoop in and ask the skeleton out.
The next day at school, Childe was mentally preparing to talk to Sans, when suddenly he saw Angel Dust bullying someone! School rules say that he can't bring a bow, but they never banned his vision (probably because they have no clue what it is.)
Childe summoned blades of water and attacked Angel Dust in an attempt to help the poor student he was bullying. Angel Dust crossed two of his arms and said, "Jeez, you're defending the innocent students who don't deserve to be bullied? You're such a loser!"

Unfortunately, because of this very minor setback, Childe lost his opportunity to talk to Sans. He was disappointed. He was really looking forward to hearing the skeleton's voice. However, someone else approached him. It was one of the popular kids, Nagito Komaeda.
Nagito said, "Wow! I saw your hopeful display, protecting the weak and helpless... It's so hopeful..."
This was it! The opportunity he needed! Getting close to a friend of Sans would definitely bring him closer to Sans!
"Well, it was nothing!"
"Such hope.... Am I enough to be friends with you?"
Childe took the opportunity, "You certainly are! Let's be best buds from now on! Of course, Bluestar and Impostor come first but we can still be best buds."

He had to report to his real best friends about this. Well, Bluestar was patrolling the hallways (she says it reminds her of some place called Thunderclan) so she probably knew.
During class, Childe fell asleep during another one of Mr. Onceler's boring movies. Bluestar made sure he didn't get in trouble for it, and then eventually, lunch rolled around. Childe brought out his lunch that he made himself because he can cook. He hoped Sans liked that in a guy.
Nagito approached him and asked, "Hey new hopeful friend, do you have a bagel? I ate my last one earlier."
Childe took a bagel out of his lunch bag and gave it to Nagito. Childe then started humming his favorite song, Revenge by CaptainSparklez, hoping Sans would notice. Sans didn't notice.
Nagito then said, "I'll tell my lunch table about you. I think Sans would be okay with letting you sit with us! Moby, well... I don't think he'll say no!"
Angel Dust seemed to be glaring at Childe from across the lunchroom. Childe didn't care.
Nagito, currently leaving, said, "Please think about it! You're so hopeful, I'd love to sit with you at lunch!"
Bluestar cheered, this is great! You'll get to date Sans!"
Impostor said, "And we'll stop being bullied because if we're seen with the popular kids, everyone will respect us!"
Nagito really had offered a ray of hope to the three best friends. But will it last?
