Octavias POV:

So it's college, I'm scared, it's my first year at a new school and I have no idea what's going on.

My first period was spent listening to girls going on about their mates...
I've never had a boyfriend and all the boys I liked never really liked me back so I really wasn't in the mood to think about my mate.
At this point I was annoyed and wanted to move classes when a girl asked me something

"Not good at keeping emotions hidden?"
"Sorry?" I replied

You could say I was rather confused

" The names Francesca Dal, the reason I'm asking that is because you look rather annoyed or pissed about something or someone"

" Octavia Luna, well let's say that I'm not really into this mates discussing
going on all around us" I rolled my eyes

"We could always leave, I mean it's only the first day" She winked pulled me by the hand and off we went

It felt so good to be out and around silence, I felt at ease suddenly.

"So haven't met your mate I'm guessing" She smiled gently

"Well, I've liked guys but I've never felt that spark that everyone's going on about"

"You are only 16 right? I mean you still have a few years to find him"

"Yeah I am, but most girls found their mate and I kind of feel, well left out."

"To be honest sometimes I wish I found Mark later in my life!" She giggled

"Wait hold on, you found your mate, when?"

"It's been about 3 years now, we found each other at a young age, but I have to say I'm happy, he's amazing!"

"You're sounding like all the other girls right now."

"Gosh sorry, but you'll understand when you find your mate why we talk about them so much, it's something really magical, I've got Art now so I'll catch you later!" And off Francesca ran
