Atsumu's P.O.V
"Do you guys have any change?" Suna asked as she shuffled through her wallet, standing next to the cab the three of them took. Atsumu, who was already out before the other two, craned his head to examine the apartment building his brother was currently living in. So white. It looked like it was about 40 stories high. He had already seen it once, but it still amazed him. Osamu got the apartment partly as a reward for finishing his rehab. I should become a druggie and get through rehab so that mom and dad would get me a place like this too.
"Wait, I'm sure I have..." Tanaka's response to Suna trailed off in his ears. He looked back at his two friends.
"Hey, Osamu gave me a key to his place so I'm gonna head in early." He roughly heard one of them respond to him but he had already started into the apartment building. As much as he disliked his brother for ruining everything, part of him still cared, although he didn't want to admit it.
He unconsciously ignored the guard that gave him a quick hello and pressed the elevator, stepping inside as it arrived. He was too lost in thought to realise that Suna and Tanaka were yelling at him from the lobby to hold the elevator for them.
Elevator music was very frustrating to him for some odd reason. Just play some rock or something instead of this weird piano bullshit.
Thoughts began to preoccupy his mind. He kept telling himself that now that Osamu actually got through rehab, he should be fine. But, some gut feeling kept telling him otherwise. He prayed that this wasn't the twin thing. The feeling where he can tell what Osamu was going through before he even went through it, all because of a weird gut instinct. That twin thing.
Osamu's smarter now. He should've at least learnt. Sure, he ran away from rehab twice and I ended up having to waste my money on getting him a new placement and we wouldn't have even moved if he didn't shoot up drugs into his-
Ding!
Atsumu realised how harshly he was clenching his jaw once the elevator doors opened to floor 11. He needed to calm down. The last thing he would want right now is to get into another fight with Osamu whilst Tanaka and Suna were here to visit him. Their relationship was already slightly severed and Atsumu wasn't planning on being the reason for their ties getting even worse. He began inhaling and exhaling in patterns, an odd breathing exercise Osamu taught him once whenever he would start getting too angry. It did work...usually.
Continuing the rhythmic pattern, Atsumu walked to his left for a few seconds and shuffled a key into the lock of a door labelled 11E. He slowly pushed the door open.
"Don't tell my brother." Was the first thing he heard when he stepped in. Even though it sounded distant, muffled and only barely echoing towards the front door, he knew it was Osamu's voice.
"Don't tell me what." He angrily whispered to himself, forgetting the rhythmic breathing he was doing and furiously started towards his brothers room.
He didn't have to barge in since Osamu's room was already open, so he stopped in front of the door frame.
The two other people inside the room stared back at Atsumu. He glanced at the one with the messy dark green hair that he didn't recall meeting before. He quickly assumed that this was the roommate Osamu mentioned would be moving in a few weeks ago. He looked at Osamu who's face was painted with worry, too much worry for Atsumu's liking. He completely forgot about the stranger's presence.
"What are you..." His voice trailed off when he saw white clothe tied around his brother's bicep, the grey hoodie rolled all the way up; an image that was all too familiar to him. No, please don't tell me...
Atsumu's face immediately fell when he diverted his attention back to the stranger, to be specific, what he was holding.
"Are you the one giving that to him..?" Atsumu said slowly and quietly through gritted teeth, a surge of anger nearing the surface.
The stranger gave him a lost expression which soon changed into panic. "What? No! I...he was-"
"Save the lies." Atsumu let go. All he saw was red as he continued to give his full attention to the stranger and charged at him, fists clenched. The green haired boy stumbled back almost tripping over.
"NO." Osamu ran between them, Atsumu crashing into him as he got held back from the stranger who seemed to have started shaking. The needle fell from his hands and lay next to his feet. Pussy.
Osamu clung onto his brother, repeating the words "calm down." over and over, occasionally calling out his name. The blonde tried fighting back, but part of him wanted Osamu to win the power struggle. He, in fact, they both knew what the state the green haired boy would be in if Osamu lost.
Atsumu shoved his twin away from him and out of all the things Atsumu wanted to say, the only thing that escaped his mouth was "Why?"
