"I am going to the shop to get some more groceries. Can you look after George while I am gone?" John asked Sherlock as he picked up his jacket. When Sherlock didn't reply. John sighed and poked him in the cheek to get his attention.

"Do not touch me, John." Sherlock grunted when John poked him again.

"So does that mean you will watch George?" John asked nodding to George playing quietly with his toys next to couch where Sherlock was laying.

"What? NO!" Sherlock shouted as he sat up. John rolled his eyes.

"I can't shop AND look after George" John explained as he slipped his arms through his thick winter coat. George looked up at John startled at his frustrated voice.

"Well then what do you want me to do?" Sherlock growled with equal frustration.

"Either go to the shop with me or look after George" John ordered.

"Are you really going to let Sherlock look after George? That might not be a good idea dear" Mrs. Hudson warned from behind me. John turns around to see her getting ready to leave for her trip to an old friend who lives in the countryside.

"Don't you dare John" Sherlock warned. John picked up Sherlock's long coat before throwing it on top of him.

"Lets go shopping George! Someone special is coming with us" John grinned looking at Sherlock frowning.

A few minutes later

"I don't see why I had to come with you" Sherlock grumbled as he shifted George in his arms.

"Don't worry, It won't take long. Plus it seems like George likes you" John chuckled at the face Sherlock was making at George's small hands tugging at Sherlock's curls.

"Oh my gosh! It's Sherlock Holmes! And he is holding a baby!" a girl teenager squealed to her friend.

"Oh god" Sherlock mumbled underneath his breath.

"May I take a picture with you two?" she asked him with shaky hands handing him a pink phone.

"N-" Sherlock started to say the same time John said,"He would love to." The girl took John's answer and posed next to Sherlock.

"Except I am taking the baby out of the picture or at least I am going cover his face." John changed his mind after he saw her pouting. After a couple of pictures, the girl thanked them and left.

"Why didn't you want George's face in the picture?" Sherlock asked quietly.

"His mother just got murdered and my face is already plastered all over the place with yours. I don't want Magnussen's men to go after George too." John answered. Uncomfortable silence filled between them as they continued to shop.

"Da-da!" George giggled. John automatically turned around to face George but instead of seeing his smiling face he was looking at Sherlock, who was standing at the other end of the aisle. George continued to tug Sherlock's dark curls. John saw a smile tugging at Sherlock's perfect lips. John silently took his phone out in time to snap a picture before Sherlock noticed.

"I'm finished. Do you need anything?" John asked pretending not to see anything. Sherlock's smile instantly dropped. He avoided his stare walking quickly to the checkout section. John quietly chuckled before following him.
