(Now this chapter is where I'll be straining away from canon also I realized I spelled it Konkuro instead of Kankuro)

Kankuro slowly made his way to Konoha, it was a three day trip at most, he honestly just wanted to get this trip out of the way but he knew if he avoided listening to his older sister he'd be in for a scolding and probably even a "grounding" In Temari's words. The sand nin scoffed and rolled his eyes, raising his hands up to mock Temari by doing the quotation signal " 'grounding' my ass, all she does is chase me around with a fucking sandal.." he crossed his arms and pouted the rest of the way to Konoha, Kankuro was only a few minutes away by now so it wasn't a long wait.

After greeting the guards and checking in with the Hokage to ket her know he was here, he made his way to the spot she told him to go to. Tsunade had informed a leaf nin that they were going to have a guest for a couple of weeks to a month and that the ninja would have to help Kankuro navigate and overall feel comfortable in the village. He sighed and walked towards the said area, it was definitely a training ground, there were trees with shuriken and kunai all over them. Kankuro sat down on the ground and waited patiently for the leaf nin to arrive, he ended up laying back and closing his eyes to rest for a while, his trip had tired him out and he honestly just wanted a nap, so he decided right then and there that he would take one. Around an hour later the sand nin awoke to a blurry figure gently shaking his shoulder, he was confused, "...ke up alre.." was all he could pick up before he decided to sit up and yawn "mm..what?.." the brunette asked with a raspy tone.

Kiba(POV)

Kiba sighed heavily, he had just gotten back from a long mission and he wanted to rest but as soon as he made it to the Hokage's office he knew that probably wouldn't happen. He gently knocked on the door, waiting for approval to come in, once he was granted said approval he walked up to the desk and sighed giving Tsunade his mission report. After a solid report was given, he went to go leave but Tsunade spoke up "I have another mission for you." The brunette turned around and sighed heavily, pouting "awe cmon i just got backk.." he whined out. Tsunade sighed and shook her head in disappointment "oh what a shame, i thought you wouldn't mind seeing an old friend but I guess not..~" she said in a slightly suggestive tone, she glanced at the leaf nin to see if she got a stir out of him and sure enough her plan worked. Kiba straightened his posture and looked her in the eyes "an old friend? Who? Where are they from? Why are they here now? What do they wa-" he was interrupted by an annoyed glare from the woman in front of him, he tensed up and shut his mouth immediately. Tsunade rubbed her temple and groaned before speaking "It's Kankuro, you are to make him feel welcomed and safe in the village, you are his escort for the next couple of weeks, or for however long he is staying." Kiba took a moment to process the name, it had been 3 years since he had last seen Kankuro and almost all of Konoha knew of the young shinobi's crush on the sand nin, this thought made his face go red. Kiba started flailing his arms "butyouknowhoweveryonewillreact! They'll tease me and I'll probably weird him out or something!" He whined before getting scolded and shoved out of the room, crossing his arms he stomped off to his house to fix up his room so he and Kankuro would both be comfortable. It took about an hour but after he was done he hesitantly made his way to the training ground Tsunade yelled at him to go to midrant. Once Kiba arrived the first thing he noticed was a black mass on the ground, he looked around and nervously approached the mass only to realize it was a person, he took a closer look at the person and gasped, his heart skipping a beat "ohhh noo.." he mumbled put before holding his breath, afraid that if he breathed too loud it would cause the other boy to wake up. Kiba gently sat next to Kankuro and silently admired Kamkuro's features, from the way his face paint had changed to how his hat was slightly coming off. It was nice but he knew he had to wake Kankuro up before it got dark. An unsuccessful 3 attempts later and Kiba is shaking Kankuro's shoulder rather quickly "argh! Just wake up already! Dobe!" He glared a hole into Kankuro's skull and as if Kankuro could feel it, the brunette opened his eyes.

Kiba quickly moved back so that he wasn't in Kankuro's face and sat still "jeez you sleep like a rock!" He shouted with a huff. Kankuro moved his gaze onto Kiba, he sat there starstruck for a moment, breath caught in his throat. 'Oh god- it's him- did Temari get specific?! I swear to Kami when I get home!' Kankuro cleared his throat and smiled softly "ah sorry..I'm a rather heavy sleeper.." Kiba sighed and nodded "so waking you up in the mornings is a no go, right?" He looked Kankuro in the eyes and just by examining the way Kankuro's head tilted slightly to the left and the barely noticeable frown, Kankuro was confused "ah, I'm guessing you weren't informed that I was your escort?" He asked with a small and heartfelt chuckle "well let me do the honors of properly introducing myself as your escort!" Kiba stood up and bowed "Inuzuka Kiba at your service." He smiled and waited for Kankuro to speak, but he never got a reply. Instead, Kiba was met with Kankuro's hand gently grabbing Kiba's, he tensed up and looked up to meet Kankuro's eyes and stayed there for a moment before scrambling to back away as his face reddened "ahumyeahthatwasprobablystupidsorryum-" he gulped and tried to calm himself. Kankuro just smiled warmly at the scene, he felt the need to be as flirtatious and cocky as ever. He dropped his hand and rested it on his hip "it's ok,....hmm...what should i call you.." he started thinking of nicknames to give the young dog nin "maybe I'll call you dog breath or mutt, ooh! Yeah I like mutt!" He grinned and gently poked Kiba's forehead. Kiba glared at Kankuro and playfully hit his shoulder "I'm no mutt! Im a professional shinobi!" He huffed and started walking back to his house, he looked back at Kankuro with a soft expression after a minute "you coming or what? We need to get your sleeping situation figured out." "Sleeping situation? Am I staying in an apartment or something?" "No you're sleeping outside..." Kiba waited a moment to see if Kankuro would pick up on the sarcastic tone, when he didn't he sighed "dumbass, you're staying with me." He grinned and grabbed Kankuro's wrist, dragging him to the Inuzuka compound.
