The Monster

The moonlight was shining across the sky in Rosewood town. You could hear the snoring as each person slumbered away, in their own world. All of a sudden, the sky thickened with dark grey clouds, and a monstrous growl could be heard. The people of Rosewood awoke from their slumber with panic, as they began to scream and cry for help. The smell of the town thickened with a hurriedness odour, to foreign to describe. The people of Rosewood felt fear growing inside them, there was nowhere to run. Nowhere to hide. Slowly the figure of the monster crept up from the shadows and came lurking into full view. It was tall and big, with razor sharp teeth. It had long yellow finger and toe nails. The monster was green and slimy; saliva was dropping out of his mouth, making you cringe. Suddenly, flashing red and blue lights came shrieking into view. The sound was irritating as it banged into your eardrums. The monster was becoming angry with every piercing shriek; he turned around only to see police cars driving towards it. The monster heard a loud bang and felt a pang in his heart. The monster slowly fell to his knees, moaning in agony and pain. The monsters eyes shut tight as it lays there dead on the floor. The people of Rosewood cheered and cried with joy. The dark grey clouds slowly drifted away. Everyone went back to their slumber feeling safe and secure. The moonlight was shining across the sky, as everyone went back to a new peaceful slumber.
