The wetness of the rain pouring down from the dark clouds soaked me thoroughly. My brand new top and my favorite jeans were drenched along with the rest of me. Along with being wet, my clothes were starting to stick to me, and that was irritating my sensitive skin.

"Where the hell is he?" I say to myself aloud. I've been waiting outside the shop I work at for at least fifteen minutes, just waiting. Waiting for my sweet, dumbass of a boyfriend to pick me up. It's raining buckets, and I'm starting to shiver. Refusing to go back into the large building behind me because then I'd be forced to work again, and that was not happening. Especially because I didn't want my boss to see me like this. Hair and skin wet, clothes sticking to my body, allowing the color of my black bra to show through. No way. Not happening. I stood outside in the cold rain not wanting to move anywhere. I pull out my phone to check how late Ryan is this time.

The time on my phone read 4:22, and still no sight of Ryan's car anywhere. By now I was used to his being late, but he could not have picked a worse day for this. It's pouring, I'm upset, and he hasn't even called. Gee, each day he seems to turn into even more of a dumbass than he already is. I squeeze my eyes shut, trying to calm myself down so I don't start screaming in front of my workplace. I couldn't allow myself to do that, especially because my boss, Louis, was probably staring at me through the window of the store, wondering what I was doing.

I'm pretty sure I look like a complete idiot standing outside in the rain, and apparently I was the only one who thought that because Louis came out of the store with a bewildered look on his face.

"Michelle?" he looked at me skeptically. "What are you doing out here in the rain?" He handed me the umbrella he grabbed before running out. Before accepting it, I tugged my jacket over my t-shirt just to make sure I was covered in front.

"I'm waiting for my boyfriend," right when I said boyfriend his face oddly dropped, but I still continued on with my sentence. "My boyfriend. I'm waiting for him to pick me up, he's just a little late." Louis gave me a sincere look before offering me back inside the shop.

"Why don't you wait inside, you're bound to catch a cold out here." His offer shocked me. He had never done anything like this before, maybe it's just because he got a glimpse of my bra through my shirt.

"You little prick..." I mumbled under my breath. He turned to me, and I immediately looked down, hoping to God he didn't hear what I had just said because that would definitely lose me my job, a job that I deperately needed. To my relief, his glance at me only lasted a second and he turned back around to face the front as he let me into the warm store that immediately made me feel better. One, to be out of the cold, and two, to be out of that pouring rain.
