I was tested on for 3 years of my life. I'd met this boy. He had strawberry-blond hair, and big blue-green eyes. He was so sweet.

He was taken away one day, then I never saw him again. I don't know if he survived. He was my best friend. My only friend. Partly because of our serial numbers being so close. He was S-012. I'm S-013.

He apparently had super strength. I don't have that. I don't really have much. No super speed, and I'm not smarter, or telekinetic, or anything like that. But now I can't look into anyone's eyes. I sense people's feelings, and by meeting their eyes, I can see into their pasts. Before you ask, no, it's not fun. I don't see the fun parts. Just the sad, or painful parts of their pasts.

After he left, it was two years before I finally escaped.

I ran as fast as I could. Finally collapsing from exhaustion after a while. When I woke up, I was in a room that I'd never seen before. There was a face hovering over mine, so I immediately averted my eyes.

"Are you okay, miss?" A voice questioned.

"Y-Yes," I answered, "where am I?"

"I found you on the street, you were asleep, so I got mommy and daddy," a little girl's voice said. "We took you home."

~~Time Skip: One year later~~

I'd been living with that nice family. The little girl, Annette, was almost 8 now. Mr. and Mrs. Abbey had asked me to pick some things up from the market.

I gladly accepted, and went as asked.

"Oh, I'm so glad the young master is letting us celebrate!" I heard a familiar voice laugh. I looked over to see that familiar strawberry-blond hair, and a flash of blue-green eyes as the boy I saw spun a girl with cranberry red hair and glasses. The boy wore a hat on the back of his neck, plaid pants, an off-white shirt, and black boots that went up to his knees.

I felt my throat close up.

It can't be. No. No, it can't be him. It's been three years. That can't be him...

The girl smiled, getting out of the boy's twirl, she stumbled a bit, like she was dizzy, "Yes! Three years of being servants!"

Another man came up, hands behind his head, and he chuckled, "More like three years of being saved."

The strawberry-blond smiled, then opened his mouth to say something before falling over someone's stuff, "Oops!" He tumbled, his hat flying off, and landing by my feet.

I stare at the hat, then look up to see what will happen.

"Hey! Watch it-" the owner of the things yelled, eyeing the strawberry-blond, "-flower boy!"

The young boy looked up, staring, then he grinned, "Sorry sir! And, thank you for the new nickname!"

The stranger looked confused, "Huh?"

The older blond man grabbed the stranger by the front of the shirt, "Ay! Pick on someone your own size!"

The girl with the red hair glared, her glasses flashing.

The strawberry-blond giggled, getting up and running over to get his hat.

"Excuse me, miss," he bent down to get his hat. I saw the back of his neck...S-012.

"T-Twelve?" I stared at him with wide eyes. The boy stood up and seemed to study my face.

"T-Thirteen...?"

I nodded.

"Oh my gosh!" He tackled me in an almost bone-crushing hug, picking me up and spinning me. I giggled and my hair was lifted up, showing my serial number.

The older blond let go of the stranger and looked over, "Eh?"

I'm guessing the girl dragged him over. They must've seen my number, because they looked surprised when he set me down.

He was grinning at me, "My Lord, I was so worried about you! What happened? When did you get out? Where were you? How've you been? Have you gotten a name? Who-?"

He was cut short when the older blond man put a hand over his mouth, "Slooow down, Finny. Let her talk."

Finny. That was his name now? I like it. Finny said something that sounded like "Yes sir."

"And quit callin' me sir. It's our day off," the blond said.

I couldn't help but giggle at them.

"I was worried about you too, Finny," I started. "I don't want to talk about what happened, but I got out just last year. I've been...well, I'm currently staying with a really nice family down the road. The don't mind my uh, power, or my tattoo. I've been just fine, and, yes. My name, now, is (Y/N). Any more questions?" I smiled.

"Nope," Finny giggled, though it was muffled. The older blond pulled his hand off of Finny's mouth and wiped it on his pants.

"Gross," he muttered.

"Well, as long as you're okay, (Y/N)," Finny grinned, hugging me again, but leaving me on the ground this time.

"God, you have no idea how worried I was," I whispered. He smiled, and let go of me. "So, where have you been staying?" I questioned after a minute.

"Oh, I've been staying at the Phantomhive manor as the gardener," he beamed. "Mey-Rin's the maid-" he gestured to the girl with glasses and cherry red hair, then to the blond man, "-and Bard's the chef."

Mey-Rin smiled, "Hello!"

Bard just nodded, a cigarette in his mouth and his arms crossed.

"Nice to meet you two," I smiled, looking down so I didn't meet their eyes. And Finny was the only one besides me who knew why.

"Why-" Bard started to ask, but I saw my long-time friend shoot him a glare that I didn't think the young ginger could put on.

Bard blinked a few times, "Okay, I won't ask."

Finny smiled cheerfully again.

I put my hands in my dress pockets, and smiled, "It was nice finally seeing you again, Finny. And nice meeting you Bard, and Mey-Rin. I should probably go now, though."

"You should come over to the mansion some time," Mey-Rin suggested, smiling.

I couldn't help grinning, "Alright, I will," I stated.

I was about to go before there were arms around me, once again, and the young ginger hugging me. I chuckled and hugged back, soon letting go.

"See you soon," I said, before walking off, and going home.

"Welcome home, __[Y/N]__!" Annette greeted me as I walked in the door with the groceries.

"Hello, Annette! How was your day?" I giggled.

"It was good, how about yours? Was the market fun today?"

I was silent for a minute, then smiled, "It was amazing."
