Chapter 7

I scooted toward the coat and I found a auburn peice of hair,and the coat had a small smudge of the pink!

"This is getting creepy. So she has auburn hair what is the shoe size? That would clear up a lot." I thought. I looked for a tag, but here wasn't one. "Ah man!"

"Another smudge! Its on a twig look there is a ton of them!" Jenna said pointing at the trail of pink.

"They need to change there shoes." Ellie said.

"Well then we would be able to find Ashley!" Jenna replied.

"Oh that's right... Don't change your shoes!" Ellie said, "Where's Amy?"

"Ahh!"

"That's Amy!" Jenna said starting to run after the kidnapper.

"This person isn't wearing a black coat though." Ellie said between breaths. "What color is her eyes or hair?"

" I can't see it she is getting far." Jenna said almost out of breath.

" Ok you stop and walk and try to stop her in her tracks I'll sprint." Ellie said. She wasn't kidding when she said she was going to sprint she got closer and found out it was her neighbor playing a game with Amy. She was 10 and her name was Andrea.

" Jenna, it was just Andrea playing a game with Amy."

"Oh that makes... No sense at all. She shouldn't scream like that unless its a real emergency!" Jenna said coldly.

"Relax you sound like my mom she a kid what do you accpect?" Ellie said.

Amy came running back with Andrea right beside her. "Can she stay with us?" Amy pleaded.

"I don't know this could be to scary for the two of you. You could get hurt." Jenna said winking at Ellie.

"Fine well go back to your backyard." Amy said stomping off.

"Good luck trying to find Ashley!" Andrea said running to catch up with Amy. When she caught up they started talking. Jenna rolled her eyes, "Come on I think we're clotree

"This shoe is a size 6½ wide and 6 in the UK." Calvin said.

"I don't care just remember the US size." Alex said, "Let's take one of the shoes and hide it."

"Ok let's put it in a branch on the tree right there."

"Ya that's a good place."

Alex climbed up in the tree and put in the branch then jumped off the tree. They looked for the smudges again and ran into the girls. "Hey guys!" Ellie said.

"Hey you guys were following us." Calvin said.

"Where's Amy at? Alex asked.

" She went off with my neighbor Andrea. " Ellie said.

"Did you find any clues?" Jenna asked.

" Ya we found a pink shoe and-" Calvin said.

"What?" Jenna yelled.

"Ya it was a size 6½ in the US and 6 in the-" Calvin said, but Alex interrupted.

"Don't even say it."

" In the UK." Calvin said smirking.

"Hurry up guys we need to find Ashley!"

"We need to find her before night-" Ellie said but then she say her 15 year old neighbor she was short for her age.

"Hey Amber." Ellie said.

"Hey guys!" She said walking toward us as her auburn curls bounced up and down, "What are you looking for?"

"Im looking for my friend Ashley." Ellie said.

"Ok." She said weirdly.

"Are you ok? You look uncomfortable." Jenna said.

"Oh I'm fine I just was umm... I gotta go." She said the direction we were going.

"She sure was acting strange." Calvin said, "She's always so bubbly."

"What if she knows where Ashley is?" Jenna said.

"Let's follow her, but very slowly." Alex said.
