Birthday Party

Pete's POV:

Even tho I lost my Job as a batboy I was happy that Y/N was there. My mom always wanted me to have a girlfriend so she's nice to every girl that is near to me. But I liked the thought that Y/N could be my girlfriend, she's so pretty and and even if I only know her two days she's already important to me. As we arrived my mom already had finished dinner and Y/N ate with us. I couldn't stop looking at her she didn't notice that I was literally staring at her but my mom and my sister did.

After dinner Y/N and I went for a walk so I told her everything what happened. "What should I tell the cops tomorrow?" I asked while I was looking in her eyes. I saw them even tho it was already pretty dark outside. "That's easy, follow your heart". I loved how she said that and I just came closer and closer. I just took the moment and kissed her on the cheek.

Y/N's POV:

The first thing I thought was "omg" I didn't know how to react and it was such a good feeling even tho it was only on the cheek. And that's also the first time when I said to myself there are butterflies. I felt my face turning red and I still tried to get rid of these feelings so I could act normal. The only thing I did was looking at him and smiling, I hope the smile wasn't weird. But as I saw him smiling at me I knew everything was okay.
"You wanna come to my Grandma's birthday party tomorrow? I'd be happier if you're there too and I think she'd be too she doesn't see other people except us". "Of course!" I said and smiled.

~The next day~

Jessie texted me and asked if could hang out today. First I wanted to say yes but then I remembered that Pete invited me to his grandmother's birthday party so I texted no.
Jessie was mad at me because she didn't respond anything to my message, we were supposed to meet each other yesterday but I had the "date" with Pete so I couldn't come. I also never told her about Pete and me because I know that she'd get jealous. Especially because she saw and talked to Pete at first but she already had so many boys and I usually didn't even talk to boys so I wanted to have Pete for me. The whole day I was excited to see Pete again it also felt special that he invited me to the birthday party it's like already being in a small family.

Pete's POV:

I was so happy that Y/N said yes I don't know if I could enjoy the birthday party without her especially because I lost my job. My mom was looking for a new cake and my sister Betsy was probably outside with a friend. I was alone and bored so I just looked at Y/N's Pfp. I saw her and started smiling but my smile slowly faded as my best friend Mike texted me. He asked me if I wanna hang out but I couldn't, he was mad at me because I lost my job and it was all my fault. He can be weird sometimes because it's like he's only Fans with me because of the empires but it's not like That he's also doing much for our friendship.

He didn't respond to my message so looked at Y/N's pfp again and smiled again.

~A few hours later~

I was sitting excited on my chair waiting for Y/N, I almost thought that she dumped me and just let me wait. I wasn't really sure if she liked the kiss but her face impression seemed like it.
As my grandma arrived I knew that she wouldn't come anymore but then I looked behind my grandma and there was Y/N and instantly smiled. "I'm sorry, I'm a bit late..." she said "It's okay, now you're here and that's what really matters." I saw her smiling after I said that.

Y/N's POV:

I sat down next to Pete and I just enjoyed myself. His family is so nice. And sometimes I saw Pete looking at me and I felt my head turning red again.
A bit later the best right handed baseball player Conrad Dean came to Pete's house and gave him a chance to get his job back. His mom first said no but at the end she said yes and I never saw Pete that happy.

After the birthday party I went home and as I arrived home my mom and Jessie were in the living room. I couldn't believe that Jessie already didn't trust me but I didn't want to get seen by them so sneaked upstairs. I was ready to go to bed but then I got a text message from Pete.
He was checking up on me and he also said that he already misses me. I felt butterflies in my stomach again. I texted him that I'm fine and that I miss him too but I was too tired to text more. Pete said good night and that's when I Heard footsteps coming to my room. It was my mom and I acted like I was sleeping so I don't have to argue with Jessie and my mom.

~The next day~

Pete sent me a text message and invited me to an empire game. I wanted to see him again so I texted yes. But I knew that Jessie wanted to see me today especially after she was here yesterday. I tried to find an argument so I could go to the game. Jessie believed me this time but it's probably also the Last time.

Pete's POV:

I was waiting for Y/N in the dugout and as she arrived I gave her a hug. I wasn't really sure if it's the right time but I just wanted to hug her. We watched the baseball game together in the dugout.

Y/N's POV:

At the end of the game I saw someone I knew. It was Jessie I forgot that she's always coming to the games. Pete looked at me confused I tried to hide behind Pete so Jessie wouldn't see me but at that moment Jessie looked over to Pete and she saw me.
