No freaking way.

Who the hell cares how many days of school I've missed? I'll answer that for you, nobody.

So why am I holding this dumb paper in this dumb office which this dumb teacher? I've only missed a good few days anyways.

"I'm sorry Ms. Monroe but it's mandatory for all students to be here at least ninety percent of the school year." Okay so maybe I've missed out on quite a bit. Totally not my fault.

"But I'm passing all my classes! Doesn't that count for something?" I cross my arms across my chest.

"Doesn't count for anything," I can already tell he's sick of all my bickering, his eyes full of annoyance, "just bring that slip back signed Ms. Monroe."

Slipping out of the office chair, I make my way out until I decide to peek my head back into the office.

"Well, what if-"

"Just leave." I quickly nod dragging my feet to my locker throwing the slip between two notebooks.

Just great. Now I have to either waste my summer back at this dump or dedicate my free time to those I already know don't deserve it. Volunteering doesn't sound too bad until I realize my life outside of school is now occupied.

Beats staying here in the summer.

"Uh oh, did somebody's little movie days catch up to her." I hear my best friend call out.

"Without them, I'd probably die." I roll my eyes. She's always looking out for me but sometimes I don't need it.

It's hard enough as it is having to wake up every morning and once I'm able to, I have to head here, no thanks.

"Ugh, what I would do to glide my fingers over those washboard abs!"

I rolled my eyes at the sight in front of me.

"Seriously Char?" The schools' football team had just finished practice, walking in all sweaty and gross.

"Look, I'm sorry but you know I can't keep those thoughts to myself or else-"

"Or else you'll find yourself actually trying to play it out." I drawled out.

Saying she's simply 'boy crazy' could quite honestly be the biggest understatement of the year, but I wouldn't want her any other way. Her thick brown hair, which I despised, was swept to the back as she took in a few last glances.

"Exactly! Although I wouldn't mind messing around with a football player." She glanced my way, a smirk making its way onto her face. I throw all my books into my bag contemplating throwing the stupid slip away until I throw it in my bag as well.

"So," she pulls out an envelope, "this came in our mail."

Please Join Us In Celebrating Mr. and Mrs. Elliot.
I couldn't even finish reading the following information before throwing it back at her face. "Get that away from me."

"So I'm guessing you did get it?"
"As much as I love our chit-chat, I'm meeting up with some people down the street." Her neck snaps my way grabbing hold of my shoulders. "Excuse me, missy! You are not doing drugs." I stifle a laugh.

"No drugs, just Indie and the guys." She lets out a sigh. "Now I wish you were actually meeting someone for drugs." I scoff. There's a reason I hang out with them separately.

They don't really like each other but it's totally okay because it's not like they absolutely despise each other. That would just be ridiculous.

"Could she be any more of a flirt?" Nate slides into the booth throwing his arm around me. I smack his arm away. "She's just really nice," I watch as Char throws her hands around some guy's neck, "a little too nice."

"I wouldn't be talking if I were you, you're like a walking STD." Indie shivers in disgust as I laugh out. Nate right here is your typical ladies' man meaning he goes through girls a little more than he'd like to admit. The thought is nasty and very uncomfortable.

We placed our order at this small diner which became our little tradition throughout the past few years. Remmy's Diner had the best cheese fries a girl could imagine and my stomach could not wait any longer.

The door let out a small noise letting us know Reeve had just got here. He sat next to Indie joining the argument which to no surprise leads us to a whole debate on Nates' love life. Thankfully the food got to our table before anything escalated.

My eyes widen as I pick up my bag tossing a crumbled paper toward the center of the table. Reeve is the one to unravel it.

"Do you not know what folders are?" He questions and in return I mimic him.

Indie grabs the paper, "But how are we supposed to hang out if you have all this to do?" She slides down dramatically.

"Don't even worry, I came up with a full-proof plan." I smile.

"You did?" Nope.

"Yup!" I nod at Nate.

"You better have because I cannot be left bored and alone!" She throws her arms up but then pulls them down when the paper is snatched away.

"Please, who would want her as their form of entertainment," The monster herself stops and thinks, "other than all the guys she throws herself at." I throw a tight smile at her.

Kelsey may have just crawled out of hell herself. It doesn't help that I'm sitting right next to the guy she keeps pining after. She pulls a chair right next to Nate dropping the paper in Indies' lap.

"Thank you, Kels for that very unnecessary comment."
"Anytime." We spend some time throwing dirty looks until someone clears their throat.

"So what's the plan?" I glance out the diner thinking.

"I could volunteer twice a week at that clinic by the main roads," I glance at Indie, "the weekends are still all ours." She smiles.

I may have made that plan up on the spot but it doesn't sound too bad. As long as any little kids running around stay clear of my path. I also don't need any old men staring me down. But besides that maybe it'll be super fun.

A total adventure. I love adventures.
