Meet Dev Dixit

Morning 7 am.

Yet another day was there , I quickly got ready and went for jog in a nearby park. Once I was back I cooked myself breakfast and left for office. There is nothing exciting about my life apart from the fact I am ceo of The Ishwari's and staff in my office fears me.

From last year I am working on a very big project and this is worth billions. This was my dream project as after it I will be taking break of one week to go and meet my parents who lives in Australia.

I entered my office and everyone started greeting me , I nodded at them and went to my cabin and started replying to mails. Then I heard a knock on my cabin door and yeah it was my manager.

"Good Morning sir, here is your schedule", he gave me schedule of the day.

"Rahul what about the project file, does it got signed ?", I asked him about the file of my dream project which needed apporoval from IES officer.

"Sir...sir...",I don't know why he is hesitating so much to tell.

"Sir, actually....that file...it got rejected by the new IES officer....I don't know ...we tried convincing her a lot...but she seemed so stubborn", he told me all this with a lot of difficulty with his eyes anywhere except me.

Who is she and how our file got rejected, you know how much hard I worked to get this project", I shouted in full anger on my manager coz he is such a useless fellow , couldn't get a simple file signed from a officer. If I lost this project than I will be losing billions, which I can't afford.

" Yeah sir I know but "

" But what Rahul, every stubbornness has a price, tell me how much she wants? Throw that on her face. Give her how much she wants and get the sign done. You understood" , I was fuming knowing how much corrupt these govt officers are.

"Sir ...sir...we tried doing same but before bribing her , I checked her record and found that last person who tried to bribe her is in jail and that project is on stay...so it's not that easy to bribe her"

" What the hell? "

" I don't know sir, actually how to convince her when we don't even know the reason she rejected our file. I thoroughly checked all the papers , the file was complete and everything looked perfect ", I was loosing my temper by now so I told Rahul my manager just to leave.

Then I turned towards my phone and  called up my private detective, "Newly appointed IES officer in railways, I need full details about her within next 24 hours, got it. You better!" And hanged up on him. Let's see miss how much stubbornness can one be. I have tackled with stubbornness even bigger then you. Let's see. What's your price.

Whole day I wasn't able to work coz of this stupid thing. I went to home at 9 pm and directly went to sleep after having dinner. I hope this problem get solve as fast as possible.

Next morning 11 am

I was in my office when my private detective called me.

" Sir, she is given that position just 3 months back and she is officer who don't tolerate any sort of bribe. The kind of officer that lives and works only for the betterment of country. It's very difficult to convince her if she denied something. Last month a big party tried bribing her and they are now facing legal issues coz she complained about them and their million dollar project is on stay now. Beware of her ,  it's not easy to convince her. She is present in her office 9-5 pm."

"Fuck off, do I pay you to tell she is not easy to convince?"

"Sorry sir , as she is very honest officer , so only one to convince her is to go by all legal ways and formalities", he told like it's nothing a big of deal when I don't even know why the hell she rejected a file which abided all the rules and legalities.

"What you think of me? Haan ? One who does all the illegal work?"

"No sir...no"

"You stay shutup and tell me the way to convince her"

"As per your case, I guess you should try to meet her and ask her what's wrong. If she tell you the reason she rejected your file, you will be lucky"

I quickly hanged up on him and rang my manager. Asked him to bring that project file to me. I guess now I will have to personally meet her to tell what the blunder she did by rejecting my file. Soon he brought that file and I asked him to ping me address of her office. Now just wait and watch Ms. Officer here I come.

I drove my car to her office and asked the receptionist about her. She told she is in meeting and said me to wait. I went to waiting area and started scrolling my phone. After every 10 minutes I asked the receptionist about her but she gave me the same answer. Like this I don't know  how many more 10 minutes passed and now it's getting on my nerves. I stood up directly and stormed towards her office. The girl at reception tried running behind me to stop me but I was quick enough to opened her door and got to see a view of her. There she was , on her chair, but her back was towards me and I guess she was on a call. The receptionist reached by the door till then.

"Sir sir, please stop...you can't go like this...please leave otherwise I will have to call the security", she tried convincing me but my anger was at top peak by now.

" I don't care the hell about anyone. Call whomever you want too", I was busy fighting with the receptionist with my back towards her office door. Then I heard a noise.

"Alina all okay?"

"Mam , this sir is not ready to listen to me. He said he wanted to meet you when I clearly said you are busy", with this I turned towards her to see her face.

Shock.

Surprise.

Anger.

Pain.

Happiness.

I couldn't found the right word to express the emotion I felt that time.

I was seeing her beautiful face after 1 year 6 months and 5 days.

By the look on her face I could depicher she was also shocked and surprised as me.

"Alina let him in , you go, I will handle", after collecting her thoughts she told the girl behind me. And I guess she nooded at her and went away leaving only two of us.

I went towards her table and she asked me to sit.

"Sonakshi ?" I tried saying her name to sound casual but she stopped me.

"It's Ms.Boss for you and yes Mr.Dixit you can tell how can I help you. It must be something very urgent that you didn't think twice before entering my office without my permission", I didn't expected this from her but who she was to blame, she wanted to keep it professional. So let it be professional only.

"Cool Ms. Boss,  I am here to get your signature done on my file", I forwarded her the file and she takes it and starts going through it.

"Sorry Mr.Dixit , I guess I already denied signing this file to your team. You can leave now", Both Rahul and private detective was right , she was stubborn. She has to be stubborn. After all she was none another than Sonakshi Boss.
