A Day at Home

"George, if you touch me one more time, I'm going to fucking bite you," a drowsy, even slightly amused voice spoke up from the floor.

George recoiled his arm back onto the bed and peered lazily over the edge of the mattress to see a messy haired Dream struggling to open his eyes due to the bright light seeping through the curtains.

Dream sat up on his makeshift bed carelessly and he and George bumped heads causing Dream to wince back and rub his forehead from the impact, George doing the same.

"Sorry," Dream said simply and George pulled his head back to allow Dream to get up from the floor next to the bed.

Once the blonde was stood, George threw his legs over the bed and pushed himself up and off of the comforting cushion and to his feet, just a little too close to Dream for comfort.

The taller smiled down at him sleepily as he hadn't actually slept until two hours after he'd already laid down. He spent it on his phone and glancing up at the bed to see if George was going to wake up, however, all that was heard from the bed was rustling as George moved.

George smiled back before poking Dream's forehead, joking about how Dream threatened to bite him if he did it again. Dream flinched lightly and then opened his eyes again playfully glare down towards George.

"I will do it, don't test me George," Dream threatened.

Carelessly, George shrugged and figured he didn't want to gamble with whether or not Dream would go through with what he said, which he probably would after another three times that George did it.

Dream looked behind him towards the digital clock on his nightstand and read the numbers 10:33, Sapnap was probably still asleep with his lazy ass. And jetlag, but as Dream said, that's no excuse.

The bedroom door slowly creaked open, drawing both boys' attention as they looked towards the sound. George's eyes widened at the sight.

Walking through the door was a huge, ferocious (and very graceful) lion. That so-called "lion" being small, sweet, adorable Patches carefully walking into the room.

The small cat looked cautiously up towards George, strutting over to him as if she owned the house, and she probably partially did. She was practically the co-owner of the place.

She tilted her head up at George curiously after pausing before his legs. She circled around, rubbing her head against George's legs then sat and stared up, wanting to get attention from the new person that she had taken a quick liking to. Unusually quick.

George hesitantly crouched down, slowly reaching his hand out to the feline to show her he wasn't going to hurt her or scare her.

Patches pushed her nose to George's hand and he smiled at the cute animal's actions, she seemed to like him so he carefully went to pet the top of her head behind her ears which the cat allowed.

Purring, Patches arched her back to try to get more pets from George to which he obliged and began caressing her back. She jumped, only her front half coming off the ground, placing her front paws on George's knees while he continued to pet her, her head leaning towards his touch.

"If Patches likes you this quickly then you're definitely special," Dream laughed from the same spot he'd been standing at before. He walked over and sat on his knees next to George, "take that as a large compliment, she's quite a picky kitty."

George looked over to Dream as he stared down at Patches, rubbing her back with such a look of great adoration and love that George felt just a little bit jealous but he instantly smacked himself at the thought. Literally. He slapped his cheek.
