"Rachel is the most vile... despicable... untrustworthy... scheming... manipulative, absolutely vindictive... inhumane, nefarious human being that I have ever come across! And I, Shawn Salters, am totally in love with her!"
Everyone, including the hotel staff, was watching my cousin Shawn in his black undies with disbelief. Shawn's eyes were locked on Rachel, who looked slightly abashed. The lady had taken off her big sunglasses and stood like a frozen statue in the hotel's entrance, luggage in her hands.
Helen walked with quick steps toward Shawn and slapped him as hard as she could, rage clear in her eyes. Shawn didn't bother to lift his gaze from the ground.
Rachel put on her sunglasses and walked away... It was still nighttime...
I shared the confusion about what was happening with the random people and the hotel staff who had stopped to watch the scene when I suddenly remembered my camera.
I turned to aunt Marilou who looked pleased in her rainbow bandana.
"Auntie, please give me the room key," I shouted at her but the hysterical screams of Helen's mother in the background covered my voice. "Auntie!" I said again but she ignored me.
But then I remembered that the door was still open. I quickly run all the way to the sixth floor and stormed into the room. My camera was exactly where I had forgotten it a few hours before. I picked it up and it was still recording.
***Some hours ago ***
"They're here! They're here!" Helen's mother, Linda, started to shout when the limousine had arrived, a big smile on her face. "My daughter is a bride! My daughter is a bride! I can't believe it. Is it really happening? Is it true?" She continued to shout, utter bliss and happiness in her voice, and run to greet Helen, who was getting out of the limo.
"Can someone please answer her?!" Auntie Marilou, who was standing beside me, murmured with annoyance. "Wasn't she at the church? Didn't she saw this damned wedding? Why is she asking all the time?!" She sighed. "Liam, your parents are very lucky to not be here, to witness this abomination!" She said to me, but I didn't answer as I was trying not to laugh at her ridiculous facial expressions.
Helen, the bride, stepped out of the car, and all the guests, except auntie, started clapping. She looked very happy in her big wedding dress, with her husband Shawn behind her. He was smiling at the crowd as well.
Auntie and I walked to the couple.
"Isn't she the most beautiful bride?!" Linda shouted again, with a big smile on her face, and hugged Helen.
"Yes, she is very pretty! Especially at the church, she was very beautiful!" Auntie agreed with Linda. "Of course, the veil helped as well..." She continued to receive an angry gaze from Shawn.
"Mum!" Shawn mattered in between his teeth to aunties ear and continued to smile.
"What? She can barely get out of the car! Where did you even find her? In a barrel auction?"
"Mum!" Shawn mattered again and threw me an angry gaze because I had giggled.

We all walked through the crowd who congratulated the couple and gave wedding wishes.
Auntie sighed heavily and went away to sit at a table. I followed her.
"Congratulations on this joyous occasion!" A woman I didn't know said to auntie, who just waved her away and told her to go to hell.
Shawn came and sat next to us with quick steps.
