In Her Shadow

GAME DAY

At the cafeteria, there's a loud noise because of the excitement of the whole school in relation to the evening game between their school and Preston Oaks. All the cheerleaders are dressed in their cheerleading outfits looking all gorgeous.

Enisa enters into the cafeteria and instead of making her way to the cheerleaders' table which is side-by-side with that of the soccer team which is at the centre of the cafeteria she begins to walk to one end of the cafeteria, where Ethan is taking his lunch.

"I didn't say you could sit there" Ethan says as she's about to take her seat. She looks up and finds him looking at her. " Good thing I didn't ask for your permission" she replies as she takes her seat opposite him. " Why don't you go sit with your other cheerleaders" he says in a bored tone. "Why would I do that", she asks with curiosity. He rolls his eyes which seems cute to Enisa. " Because every other cheerleader is seated there" he says to indicate that he doesn't want her there, but Nisa doesn't seem to take the hint or maybe chooses to ignore him.

"Hey man" Jason approaches the table, he gives Ethan a fist bump which Ethan returns. Jason notices Nisa and eyes her warily, " didn't know you had company". "More like stalker" Ethan retorts as Nisa does an eye roll " just admit you like my company...at least you don't have to eat alone" she justifies. "I already told you I don't need your help so please can you leave me and stop stalking me, okay" he looks at her to see if she understands what he just said. "Whatever, besides I'm not stalking you we just happen to have a common timetable, don't think too high of yourself" she rolls her eyes again.

"I'll leave you guys alone to enjoy your lunch and thanks for the other day" Jason says as he begins to leave. "I'm leaving anyways" Nisa says as she begins to stand up. "But you barely eat anything" Ethan says confused. "Can't cheer on a full stomach, it will slow me down" she explains and he nods in respond. She drops her plate at the sink and leaves the cafeteria.

The soccer team has a game today against a rival team and Ethan has been trying out to make team, which he did because of his amazing skills but he's going to be on the bench.

***Later that evening***

Our cheer was perfect and so was the game though a player,charles, got injured midways but our Sub was excellent I'm pretty sure he won the attention of everyone now. Not bad for a new kid.

" Nisa you've to work on your stamina" Elisa begins to complain about everyone's performance as we change in the locker room.

As soon as I'm done changing, I pick my bag and begin to make my way home.

" Wait for me in the car, mum wants to have dinner with us" this earns an eye roll from me. Our mom is hardly home, always caught up with her shifts. not like she cares anyway.

*******************************Ethan noticed that she didn't eat 😱😱..I hope I've improved in my writings and sorry for not updating on time.
