Everyone is busy on whatever they are doing. It’s my first day as a college student. It felt so different at the same time it felt so good. I know many will change as I begin my college life. While I am running because I’m already late in my class I bumped into a girl & her books fell on the floor.
“im sorry.” I said to the girl as I started on picking up her books.
” Im sorry also for not looking on where im walking.” She said.
I handed her books & as I look into her she is so beautiful. “ thanks I’ve got to go” she said. I watch her as she goes. I fell to my self that I need to know her name. As days goes by I didn’t see that girl again well I think she’s not studying here.
While I am having my lunch with my friends my sister came to hand me something that I need & I am surprise to see the girl that I am looking for how many days. I didn’t know that she is a friend of my sister.
“of course, how would you know” my mind says.
“shut up mind, I didn’t asked for your opinion” I said
“it’s you” I said
“ah yeah I’m sorry about last time I didn’t mean it.” She said to me
“its ok, its really my fault.”
She just smile , that beautiful smile
“Ah you know each other?” my sister said
“Actually no. we just bumped into each other, by the way I’m Nathan” I said as I introduced to her.
“I’m shana” “hi shana” I said while smiling.
“We’ve got to go kuya. We will be late in class” my sister said .
“ok, take care both of you”
FINALLY ! I know her name already. I hope we will became friends. After that I always pray that we will bump to each other again.
The next day is boring. We don’t have a class so I decided to go to the cafeteria to eat because I’m hungry. When I already pay my food I immediately find seat. I was having a hard time on finding a seat because there are lots of student but there are I saw a table that only one person is seating. I walk to that table & asked the girl if I could seat on the extra chair.
“excuse me, can I seat with you?” I asked the girl. I cant see her face because her hair is falling on her face & she is also writing.
“yeah sure” she told me & that’s the time that I saw her face.
THE FACE THAT I AM LOOKING FOR
“it’s you again” I said to her while seating
“and it’s you also” she said while smiling
“what are you doing?” I asked her
“doing some essays it sucks doing this kind of thing” “it really sucks” I told her
“So, you don’t have a class?” she asked while writing
“No, our professor is busy so she left us with some assignments” I told her
She just nod. We just talked & talked. I couldn’t believe that we have lots in common.
She bid her goodbye because she still have a class but before that happen I already asked for her number. Later that night I texted her.
“goodnight shana :) sweetdreams :) “
“goodnight also Nathan:)” I didn’t expect for her to reply since it’s already late in the evening
“You should rest already because it’s late in the evening” I texted her.
“I was supposed to be resting when I hear my phone ring” she reply
“I’m sorry, I disturb you”
“it’s okay” she reply
“goodnight again shana sleep now I don’t want you to be a zombie tomorrow” I texted her
After a few minute she didn’t reply I guess she’s already asleep. I also sleep with a smile on my face.
As days goes by I keep on communicating with shana. As those days goes by my feelings for her grow more. Until one day while we are going home I tell her that I love her. She was shock of my confession. I told her that she didn’t have to shy anything. I just told her that just give me a chance to show you how much I love you. I also asked her if could court her & she said YES. Good things do come for those who wait & I hope that she will say yes.
As days goes by I keep on courting her giving flowers, chocolates, teddy bears & telling her everyday how much I love her. Christmas is approaching & I am having a hard time on finding a gift for her. So I asked for a help in my sister.
“name, what should I give to shana for Christmas?” I asked her
“You know what kuya, it doesn’t matter what you give to a girl s long as she can see the effort that you for her that is already fine for her” she said flipping the pages of the magazine.
“yeah I know but I want my gift for her to be special”
“kuya that is your problem already. But let me give you a clue, shana loves to drink a coffe” she said smiling & going back on reading the magazine.
I think of what she said & then it cross to my mind the thing that I will give to her.
“thanks sis” I said to my sister while going to my room
It’s already Christmas eve & I celebrated it my family. I’m on my way to the house of shana to give my gift to her. When I’m already in the front of their gate. I waited for her to come out I told her that I will not stay long I just came here to give my present to her personally. When I hear their gate open, I saw shana standing beautifully in her red dress.
“Hey! Merry Christmas” she said while smiling
“Merry Christmas also, here’s my gift, I hope you like it” I handed her my gift for her.
“thank you nate, here is my present for you also”
I didn’t notice it when she came outside.
“Thank you” I said
“I got to go”
“nate wait” she said
“Yes ? what is it?” I said
“I have to tell you something I know that you’ve been courting me for a months now & …..”
I’m getting nervous or what she well say
“& what shana?” I asked
“& yes”
“What do you mean?” I asked her
“You’re my boyfriend now”
“Are you serious?” I asked in disbelieve
“Yes I’m serious from now on your are my boyfriend” she said with a smile
And I hug her “I love you shana. This is the best Christmas gift ever” I told her
“I love you to Nathan”
