"Salllltttt!"
A tall, slim girl with soft black hair tied Into a ponytail was trying to shoo away a short, orange haired boy with a small little orange pin and a fancy hat that had red strings falling down from it away. He kept on talking about wanting to see Salt.
"God danm it," The second tall, slim girl walked out of what looked like a room covered in some sort of plastic. She was holding a bunch of Kleenex wipes covered in snot. She threw all the Kleenex wipes in the nearest trash. "What is it now, Pepper? I'm trying to clean Soap's room with—" Before Salt could finish her sentence someone squeezed her waist tightly.
"Hiiii Salttyyyy~" OJ was trying to sound flirty but in reality he just sounded drunk as hell. Salt's face went from surprised to SUPER pissed off. "Are. You. KIDDING ME PEPPER? You interrupted MY work for THIS IDIOT?" Her tone was very serious which scared the hell out of pepper.
"I'msorrySaltpleasedon'tbemadatme-" Salt chuckled a bit and grabbed Pepper's hand. "Pepper, it's fine. I was just kidding around, I could never stay mad at you." Her voice was gentle and friendly.
Pepper's whole face went red, she tried to stay cool. "Hehe..yeahhhhhh— I knew that." She did a finger gun with her available hand. "Also, what are you gonna do about..him." She pointed to OJ. "Oh, Him?"

Lightbulb sat at the Hotel bar, drinking her tiredness away. Her hair was tied up into a messy bun and her trans bow tie was practically falling off of her neck. "Taco,, get me another one."
"Geez, your really falling of the bandwagon, aren't you?" She joked as she poured another shot. Lightbulb didn't reply. "Hm. You're a lot quieter than usual, what's up?" Taco rested her arm on the bar table, locking eyes with lightbulb. "It's just that—" She quickly drank her shot and slammed the glass on the table. "It's just that...Paintbrush has been very, mm..—"
"Clingy?" Taco said, filling in the blank for Lightbulb. "Clingy! Thank you. Paintbrush has been very clingy lately and has been keeping me up all night but I don't want to make them sad so I haven't said anything." Lightbulb rubbed her face with her hands and yawned.
"Well, I think you should just..be honest with them. I get you really care about them but your mental health matters, too." Taco tapped her long nails on the bar table, still locking eyes with Lightbulb.
"I guess your right.." She got up and placed a $5 bill on the table. "Thanks, Taco." She fixed her bowtie and walked out of the bar. Taco sighed and looked at a note pickle sent her. "God danm it.." she muttered as she crumbled up the paper and threw it in the trash bin next to her.

Lightbulb was rushing down the hall, looking for paintbrush. Paintbrush was a VERY tall. They always would wear a grey visor and a cute little Non-Binary Bandana around their neck. They also always wore an apron covered in dry paint. Fortunately, they were where they were always at; the food table. When Paintbrush noticed Lightbulb standing only a couple of meters away from them their eyes lit up. "Bulby!" They yelled as they ran towards her and picked her up, squeezing her tight.
"Oufh! Hi Paintbrush." She smiled and gave them a little head pat. When paintbrush finally put her down she could finally breathe. "What are you doing here?" They said. Lightbulb rubbed the back of her head, her face said 'I want to tell you something but I feel like if I do I'll make you upset and I don't want that to happen.'
"I..uh— wanted to talk to you about something." She straightened her posture. "Oh! What is it?" Paintbrush smiled. "Alright, I want to say this right here right now, and I mean this in the NICEST way possible, but—" Lightbulb took a breath. "But uh.. can you try to be more gentle and maybe ask before hugging and cuddling me? I-I really hope that doesn't sound rude it's just that— that I can get really uncomfortable when being hugged or even touched sometimes.."
Paintbrush was surprised, but not in the bad way. "Oh! I'm really sorry Bulby. Why didn't you tell me sooner, though? I would've understood." Lightbulb looked at them sadly, grabbing her arm. "Well I— I was nervous that you'd get sad! And I hate seeing you said Paintbrush! So I hid it from you.."
"Oh Bulbs.. Why would I be sad about that? I understand completely! Although I may forgot at times I'll try my best to remember." Paintbrush offered a cookie to lightbulb, she rightfully took it. "Heh, thanks Paintbrush."

Everything was great. People were talking and partying, some people were in the bathrooms throwing up due to food poisoning. All of that was stopped when the sound of knocking was heard. 'Who could that be?' Everyone thought. Everyone they knew was already here so it was confusing.
"I'll get it!" Salt yelled as she rushed towards the door and opened it. "Hell- oh." She stopped and just stood there.
"Greetings and..salutations, I guess."

Hi everyone!! Thank u for reading the first chapter of Inanimate swap. I'm sorry the writing isn't the best, I haven't written anything in like, 2 years so I'm kinda rusty.
Also, before you ask; yes, I decided to give Lightbulb Touch Aversion (this is gonna play a HUGE part in this story) and another thing is that I also gave Paintbrush ADHD.
ALSO ALSO, I'm super sorry this took so long, I kinda lost motivation but I'm back on my feet and the next part will most likely be out very soon, so stay tuned!!
