Finding Mari

Chapter 7: Later

Marinette pov:

After I got home my parents hugged me so tight I couldn't breathe, then they asked me a lot of questions. I answered as many as I could and I kept reassuring them that I was fine. My mom made dinner we all ate together, then I went up to my room because I was really tired. I closed the door and I went on my bed and Adrien was there.

"How did you get in?"

"The window was open so I just came in."

"Well that's illegal, and I didn't think you would be here so early."

"I have nothing else to do right now, my aunt called me after she found out that my dad was Hawkmoth. She said that she was going to move here with my cousin Felix, so at least I wont be leaving."

"That's good to hear."

"Mari, I'm sorry about what happened between me and Lila......I thought she was you, she looked like you, she sounded like you.......I wanted to believe that it was you and nothing bad had happened to you because you mean so much to me......I never wanted to hurt you."

"It's not your fault.....I shouldn't have been mad at you, I shouldn't have been mad at all......Adrien there is something I need to tell you."

"If you are going to tell me you have feelings for me, I already know."

"No it's not that. While your dad had akumatized me he told me why he became Hawkmoth-"

"I don't want to know why he did it.....there is nothing that can justify what he did.....and if he was doing this for a "good reason" I don't want to carry that with me for the rest of my life so please don't tell me."

"Ok, I wont tell you."

"I have to get going, I have patrol tonight."

"Wait! You don't have to go......I mean hawkmoth is in jail, there is no threat in Paris right now......you could.....stay here.....if you want."

"I'd love that bugaboo."
