Sapnap would never understand his lover's morals and values. To as of why he would never held his hands or talk to him in hours while he close his eyes and kneel to a little altar that he himself decorated.

Or to as of why he would never let him dance to a sweet tune that Karl would play on a record.

Nonetheless Sapnap still never formally asked why this and that and instead he just let him do the things he does.

For what he thinks that just makes Karl, Karl.

Do questionable things and laugh at the most stupidest things, joke about something so off topic.

He never thought of Karl as an unknown immortal being as he actually is, instead he thought of him as his Partner. His other Half.

He will always complete everything he does. He answers the questions that he himself never had the balls to ask. He listens even when the other was muted. He smiles even when the other just looked.

He was perfect in sapnap's eyes.

Well not just to his eyes.

A third company will always come to his house and ask for his sweetest fresh baked cookies.

A third company that he never asked, but was always there.

Not that he wanted that third company to go away, nor he wanted them to stay.

The special event came in flashing.

"The Masquerade" the front of the letter fonted in fancy bold letters that would make you sweat as it's the official font that the King uses for his invites said.

Sapnap smiled, too wide for Karl to comprehend.

Karl scooted over to the seat where Sapnap has been sitting for a hot minute.

"A masquerade? At the king's palace?" Karl asked as he steal the invitation from sapnap's hands.

Sapnap had nodded, still smiling so hard and perhaps also questioning as of why he was invited on a masquerade.

Karl saw through his questions, "Well no shit sherlock, Gods meeting up at a ball. Nothing big." He said as he pressed the invitation card in the table.

"Nothing big? Im meeting Dream! After what feels like 5 years!" Sapnap enthusiastically said  . "Centuries" Karl corrected him and smiled.

"Then why did you asked why you were invited when you obviously know the answer?" Karl questioned as he stood from his seat and about to throw the additional worthless pieces from Dream's invitation.

"I didn't asked?" Sapnap said while he also stood from his seat with invitations in hand.

There always this kind of time where Karl would say something that Sapnap wouldn't really understand where he got. He had stated to him many times that he was a mind reader of some sorts but karl would always deny and say 'we've known together for eons and i know every part of you by now, so this isn't a big deal'.

It has been eons since Karl met Sapnap. On a valley filled with purple hyacinth.

He plays as the hyacinth dance their sorrows and worries.

The notes he strung made his feet dance on the strings as he walked towards the unknown man.

The melody he played was a known tune in their time. A tune that made the kingdoms in the south fall and wither away.
