She took a deep breathe, her bright eyes looked down at the mud she had fallen in, not bothered to shout in disgust or get up as quickly like she normally would. She was on her knees, platinum hair bloody, she didn't mean to do it- she didn't mean to kill an innocent citizen who was just looking out for her, she didn't want to be pitied, not by some random women.
She sensed the life slowly dying.
She ran away from the village as soon as she casted her mind destruction jutsu on the poor woman, didn't take the time to register what she did and made way through the crowd of people watching her monstrous act.
The woman's head had just exploded right then and there. Ino was overcome with emotions.
It felt nice really, someone else SHOULD be there right? theres always someone else. Someone there to help
It was going on for weeks now. Her mother was dead and theres nothing she could do about it. It was embarrasing, she was Yamanaka Ino, the one to surpass the best sensory ninja alive, the heir to her clan, she mastered half of her clan techniques, she had mastered medical ninjutsu but still couldnt save her, she wasn't even in bloody konoha when she passed. She was gone and she felt like how she did when her father and sensei died.
Useless.
The sensation of mud spread across her legs and arms felt comforting, her dirty platinum hair swished as she stretched her neck.
Soon she had let out a laugh.
It was random, it felt good and she continued, she continued to laugh until her voice became hoarse. why did she feel like the stress in her body had faded? was killing people supposed to make u giggle and giddy like some kid on christmas? did she feel bad? no, did it feel good? fuck yeah.
She killed a woman simply because she was pityingly offering her food and advertising her fruits this fine season, she hadn't ate much since her mothers death and she guessed people noticed. all the attention she was getting from it made her feel even worse, it reminded her she could've at least come to say her goodbyes. but life's unfair, and especially to her.
She got up and slowly shook her self off, mud landing around her in the lush green grass, after spotting a pond near by she removed her dirty clothing and jumped in, a sigh resided and the beauty dunked her long locks under water, someone was near by, she could feel them coming closer- no two people were, it was almost familiar, as though she's sensed it before, but not familiar enough to recognise who they were.
she scanned the area quickly again and came to find out the chakra was much stronger than hers, though they tried to keep theirs hidden, she could still tell. She jumped out of the water towards her bag and dug around for her towel and spare clothes, the people were getting closer, maybe another 100 metres. and since she couldn't 100% recognise the chakra that meant they weren't konoha shinobi, maybe straying from the village wasn't her brightest idea to deal with a panic attack..
she quickly changed as she crouched behind the thick vines and large rocks surrounding the pond, seeing she hadn't noticed the beautiful scenery while in her frenzy.
'who are we looking out for, un'
what?
she turned around to see a man with a similar hairstyle to her 16-year-old self, long sunset-yellow locks tied into a high pony tail with hair left in the back while half his face was covered with a large bang like hers. He had tan skin and large blue eyes, contrasting perfectly.
Ino was still registering his presence infront of her while the man, in questionable attire, was waving a hand infront of her face. she quickly caught focus and gave him a questioning look, he obviously wasn't threatened by her and possibly saw her in her naked state, which boiled her blood.
"your name is?" the man asked. Ino realised she was having a hard time focusing, maybe she hit her head? maybe she was just completely lost in the fact he was wearing akatsuki attire, an S-rank criminal organisation. no biggie
"I'm sorry could you repeat that? my names Ino, Ino Yamanaka" she didn't care, he was probably going to take her life like she deserved anyways, may aswell make the most of this interaction.
"I'm Deidara" he then narrowed his eyes. "You don't look like a civilian" he was of course joking with her, he literally made a shadow clone and used more chakra than necessary to trick an off guard sensory ninja to hide his location. she'll give him that, he's pretty smart first impression.
Deidara was staring at the blonde ninja, she had really long hair, much longer than his, it reached to her ankles with a large bang infront of her face much like his. he was bored this lazy afternoon and decided to take a scroll, sadly with the company of-
"TOBI!!"
and there goes his 'lazy' day.
deidara was unamused, he had finally found something-someone interesting to entertain himself with, a konoha ninja he'd guess, since they're almost of the border of the land of fire.
While deidara was thinking ino was awaiting her fate, she was quiet as the masked man next to the muscular blonde stared at her, she could tell, through his one eye hole. They were both looking at her for a terribly long time she realised, were they waiting for her to say something?
"um"
"Tobi!"
"idiot!"
Ino wanted to cry. she wanted to be left alone for a couple minutes and instead have 2 S-class criminals infront of her bickering about who's more annoying and why the other hadn't said anything yet. Perfect.
"Kill me already" she pleaded
the 2 men looked at her (at least she was pretty sure the masked one was looking at her)
"shut up" Deidara replied quickly
suddenly all the sadness and guilt she felt turned into anger and arrogance.
"who are you telling to shut up?! I'llbreak your fucking ribs!"
the two opposing her looked bemused and ignored her, continuing their chatter.
if Ino hated anything more than people with bad hygiene it was ignorant people, she hated being ignored and pushed aside, almost how she felt as the only girl on her team for all those years- wait what was she even still doing here barely dresses in front of criminals? stupid criminals.
Deidara was looking at the other blonde from the corner of his eye, he knew she'd make some type of escape about now, it's not like they needed her for anything but something to play. That maybe give him less of a headache than talking to Tobi. who, thankfully, decided to not speak much to the girl.
As Deidara turned to look at tobi fully, then back at the girl, she was gone in half a second. She didn't even leave her bag behind, he was actually almost impressed, for a sensory ninja her speed and quick ninjutsu was surprising. He leaped tree to tree as he looked for her. he started to feel excited as he started molding clay bombs, it was a wild chase!
