Paige's POV

A FEW HOURS LATER

We're in the kitchen as I watch him eat. He's looking as if he hasn't eaten in DAYS!

"You know the foods not going anywhere." I joked commenting at how fast he's eating.

He looks up from his food a bit embarrassed, then continues eating his food in a calmer way. "Sorry. It's been a while since I've had an actual meal." He says.

"Don't be sorry." I shift in my chair a bit. "So are you gonna tell me what happened and why you were dying in the middle of the road?" I ask

He just laughs.

"What's so funny" I ask as I furrow my eyebrows in confusion.

"I wasn't dying." He laughs again. "You're overreacting." He says

"Well still. You looked pretty bad to me." I say folding my arms.

"Why do you care so much anyways?" He puts his fork down. "No one ever cares about me. Not since I was 12." He says as he forced out a laugh.

"What do you mean?" I ask.

"Well when I was 10, my dad got arrested for murder. That kinda drove me crazy and I wouldn't keep my ass out of trouble. One day my mom got sick of my BS and kicked me out." He says as he starts to eat again.

"Wait!" I say up from my seat. "So you mean to tell me that you've been living in the streets since you were 12!?" I ask in disbelief.

"Yeah...so?" He asks nonchalantly.

"Why are you acting like that's not a big deal. This is serious! Where did you sleep!?" I yell.

"Would you calm down. When you sit back down, I'll tell you." He says.

I then notice that I'm acting a bit extra so I slowly and awkwardly sit back down.

"I slept by dumpsters. People's cars. I tried the homeless shelter but my first night there, some kids beat me up and stole my stuff. That's something that taught me to be stronger." He says.

"That's insane! No kid should ever have to live like that!" I say crossing my arms again.

"Well there are tons..." He says.

"Well...you can stay here for a few weeks...if you want." I cautiously offer.

He just laughs again.

"Why do you keep laughing at me?" I asks offended.

"Because a girl like you doesn't just invite a strange homeless man like to come live with them. It just doesn't work like that." He says still laughing.

"Well I'm not joking. I don't want you back out there on those streets. It's dangerous." I say.

"You can't tell me what to do. I'm a grown man." He says defending his honor.

"Well...can you at least just think about it?" I ask.

"Why do you care so much about me anyways? I'm nothing but a lost cause." He says.

"Please...just think about it." I plead.

"Alright. I'll think about it. But I'm not making any promises." He says.

A little while later
We were silently sitting on the couch watching SpongeBob when I started to feel my self fall asleep.

"I'm getting a bit tired. I think I'm gonna head to bed." I say.

There was no response.

I look over and see Dean fast asleep. I giggle and walk over to the hallways closet and grab a blanket out of it. I walk back over to Dean and lay in on him carefully.

I smile because I know he hasn't slept in a comfortable place in years.

The Next Morning

I am waken up my my alarm blaring from my phone. I sleepily get out of bed and walk over to the bathroom door.

When I walk in, I see Dean naked and wrapped in a towel from the waist down.

Holy shit...

"Good Morning." He says as he smile while flashing his dimples.

"Uhh..h-hey." I say distracted my his wet body.

"Oh! I hope you don't mind, I decided to hope in the shower. These bloody wounds were starting to bother me." He says pointing to his chest.

"Oh I...I see. Uhh I'll im uhm come back when you're done." I say stumbling on my words.

"Oh no don't let me be in the way. Ill just change back into my clothes in the living room." He says

As he's leaving he slides past behind me as his chest unintentionally rubs against my back.

And out of no where...I moan.

Oh my gosh that did not just happen! That was so embarrassing!
