Kenzie
"Sorry I'm later Mr.White," I mumbled as I slipped into my usual spot in the back row. I noticed Marie laughing at my tardieness. It wasn't my fault. I had locker issues, and by locker issues I mean me being a klutz and all of my books and papers spilled out onto the ground.
I pulled my notebook and pencil from my binder as I tried to ignore all of the looks I was recieving from the other students. Mr.White looked at me one more time before returning his back to the classroom as he began writing the format for the new paper we had to write.
"Locker troubles, huh?" Walker asked from beside me. I snapped my head in his direction as I saw a small smirk on his face. I nodded before turning back to my paper to finish copying the format. I let my hair fall in my face to try and hide the pink tint that was definiatly being painted onto my cheeks.
Walker Dean. Who is he? One of my guy friends, who I also happen to have a helplessly and pathetic crush on. I mean honestly anyone with a boobs and a vagina in our grade either has a crush on him or wants him to throw her against a wall and do the frickle frackle. You can't really blame us either. He's painfully attracive. His hair is like cotton candy and 2010 Harry Stlyes. And his green eyes are so pretty I can't even form words to describe them.
I quickly finished copying the format down before getting up from my seat and made my way to the computer right behind my seat. I logged on and immediatly pulled up Word and started typing. The format was quite easy to follow and the topic I picked was pretty interesting in my opinion.
I was so focused on my typing I didn't notice the presence of the person behind me.
Suddenly, two hands slapped the computer table on either side of my body. I wasn't expecting it so I practically jumped into the persons arms. I turned my head only to see Walker's head resting lightly on my shoulder, and because of the position we were in our faces were to close for comfort.
I quickly turned my head back to my computer and moved my chair in closer to the computer to create some space between us. Yes, I like him but I know he doesn't feel the same way. When he does things like this it makes me feel weird and I don't know how to react because it confuses me. Marie and Indie apparently think he does like me but just isn't showing it. I think they're crazy.
I heard him laugh lightly before sitting down at the computer next to me and logging on. He pulled up Word and I was surprised to see him so focused. Usually he's laid back and doesn't give a fuck so this was a little weird.
I finished my breif creep fest and turned back to my screen and continuing my paper. For the remainer of class I swore I saw Walker glance at me every minute or so. Every time I thought his eyes were on me I would shift due to my social awkwardness.
When the bell rang I jumped out of my chair and went back to my original seat and grabbed my binder. I said bye to Marie as we left the classroom and went our seprate ways for our 2nd hour classes. Me to science her to band.
I entered the science room and went to my assigned seat and dropped my binder on the table. Walker sitting only two rows behind me.
"Kenzie, can i ask you something?" Walked asked as he got up from his seat and made his way to my table. I nodded as i lifted my eyes to meet his. "Well, I was wondering if you could help me out on a part in one of our band songs?" He asked while smiling down at me. I smiled back and nodded.
No I'm not mute. I just don't talk much around people I don't know. People make me feel awkward and annoying. It's just easier to not talk around people I'm not used to.
Ms.Salm walked in the room just as the bell rang and every one who wasn't in their seat moved to get to it. I smiled at Ms.Salm and she smiled then began her lesson on plate tectonics and earthquakes.
