"ten! for god's sake, ten, i didn't ask for this either," the younger groaned, chasing the fleeing president down the empty, dark hallways. his hands shook as they pumped through the air to propel himself further. of course since his soulmate wasn't the fittest, nor was he the most sporty person, it wasn't long till his pace slowed and eventually he stopped.

"leave me alone," he growled, his eyes boring into yangyang's, an accusatory going in his emotional orbs. "this is too much to process, especially with everything that's going on. the election is just around the corner..." he held the side of his head as another rush of tingles spread down his arms when yangyang grabbed onto him.

yangyang's lips were curled into a frown and his brows remained furrowed as he observed the panting older. "do you really believe that this is what i wanted? this isn't only about you. this is a two-person issue."

ten stepped back cautiously, his eyes not drifting from the other's. "i don't know what you've done, but this is your idea of a sick joke. you always ruin what i do..."

"hear me out."

ten took a deep breath before unclenching his fists. with a subtle nod, one that indicated hesitance. "go on then. one minute, that's all i'm giving you."

yangyang offered him a quick and small smile. for once it actually brought the comfort it intended. "neither of us want this, am i right?"

a meek 'yes' was answer enough.

"but this is what we've been given. this gift that we were promised at birth has arrived. it might not be in the form we wanted, but let's embrace this."

"what are you saying here?" the sceptical look in ten's eyes made yangyang choke.

"no, no. we're not dating. what i mean is we should accept it. we don't need to act on it, but maybe if we aren't bickering every spare second we have, then we won't be fighting fate." his eyes were almost pleading with ten, begging him to agree. he may have been the reason they fought, but he also respected ten, even if he didn't show it. he also respected his destiny, and it was inevitable that the president was a part of it.

after a few moments of silence ten finally agreed. "let's face it," he sighed, shaking his head dismally, "we'll soon be dependant on one another. that's just how these links work..." he extended his hand to the troublesome student. "to embracing this... 'gift'..."

yangyang sent him a snide grin before grabbing his hand. "to embracing this predicament."
